The first SNAFU was a late announcement and delaycast, so that could also be true of the second series. Don't be surprised if April 2 passes with no announcement of it by CR, and certainly don't assume that means they didn't get it.

I'm hoping we get Denpa Kyoushi. A-1 Pictures, and sounds like an interesting show.

My wish list:
I Can't Understand What My Husband Is Saying
Denpa Kyoushi
Ameiro Cocoa
Ore Monogatari!!
Nisekoi
Hibike! Euphonium

Might be Interesting:
Houkago no Pleiades

It's a YTV series, so there's a very good chance it'll show up here on CR.

I am not a fan of the policy of spoon feeding information just to build up hype, either you have the Licenses or you do not. If you want to keep the air date or if you can "simulcast" it a mystery that's fine, but at least let your paying customers know what new shows you can air.

License negotiations can last up to a day before airing, and have been known to last to days after it airs.

Given that spreading out the announcements generates more news articles on sites like ANN, what you are really saying is "Please publicize the site less".

So you have done licensing in this industry before... I will have to concede all the licensing I have been involved in had to be done well in advance, but that was involving a product.

Dose Crunchyroll really need to spread out the announcements for news purposes? It is well established enough to post announcements about what Funimation has licensed while Funimation dose not reciprocate. Also thus far of the 8 that have been announced only one (Gunslinger Stratos) is actually a new License every thing else is just series that they already have the licensing for. Speaking of which where is Dog Days 3? It is already completed so one would think they can now get the License for it. Sorry I got off track, anyways if Crunchyroll comfortable enough to promote a competing company is it really necessary to spread things out? Anyways ANN always links the series to the Licensee so they get the traffic with out having to rely on a news items.

I would say yes, CR does need to spread them out for news purposes. Whenever CR has made announcements of several titles at one time, sites like ANN have only posted one article. Even now, sometimes they get grouped together if the sites are bit slow with posting the news, but it isn't as bad is it would be if (and when) huge numbers of titles are announced in one go. As you will note on the Site News section of the forum (which is meant more for members), each days announcements are grouped under a single topic, and each ends with a summary of what has been announced thus far.

Spreading the titles out also means that when someone is searching for a title on Google or another search engine, they will be more likely to hit upon an article that will lead them to CR.

In the end, this is the way CR has done things for the better part of 6 years, so I don't seem them changing it because of a few subscribers want it to be done differently. After all, what fraction of a percent of people would actually unsubscribe over this vs. the larger number of subscribers CR would be likely to gain?

Sequels don't typically mean CR automatically has a license. With a split-cour series like Fate/stay night, that is likely the case, but with anything that requires the sequel to be green-lit, that is quite unlikely. The original contract may grant CR some type of "first rights", but we really don't know. Given the high (but certainly not absolute) success rate in acquiring sequels, there is certainly circumstantial evidence of that. I can, however, site a number of times where CR didn't get a sequel series (and a few where Funimation didn't, although I suspect only one example I could cite for them wasn't by their choice).

CR actually has a license for Dog Days'', but unfortunately, it doesn't include the any of the territories CR had for the first two series, only a number of countries in asia (a region that was excluded from licensing for the first two).

You may want to pick up the ongoing conversation here, and how the same fate may be in store for another title this season.

Funimation doesn't cross promote CR because Funimation doesn't have a news service, while CR does. Funimation's "News" link leads you to their blog, which you'll note is filled with articles about them, not the industry.

So excited for the Labyrinth of Grisaia special and then the Eden of Grisaia. I guess I need to go finish watching the Fruit of Grisaia. It was really interesting to me, but for some reason I only watched half of that first season. Can't wait.
