It used to be pretty good, but their new policy this last year or so of sending out crappy, often completely unrelated form letters in lieu of an actual response leaves much to be desired. It's as if CS got outsourced to a non English speaking country or something.

Automatically generated emails and help forum questions that go unanswered, are not really signs of good customer service. Hey why even bother starting "help forums" if you just ignore them? .

I've yet to deal with a "good" customer support anywhere, usually it's either bad, really bad or so bad that it's not even worth the energy.
I haven't had to deal with their support yet so i can't say if its any good or not, but if it's anything like their service being under "maintenance" or the site not responding at times then probably bad.

We've been under new management since November and have been slowly transitioning to a new support system. We're also short on staff compared to the amount of emails we receive everyday. The last time I spoke with someone, I was told we're looking to hire more people. So hopefully we'll have more helpful hands soon, so we can freely roam the forums as well as answering emails at a faster and more efficient pace. We're very lucky that shinryou, the mods, and our lovely helpful crunchyrollers are around to help the users in the forums for us, well we're busy with support tickets.

Crunchyroll has demonstrated to me, that they by far have the worst customer service imaginable. I have been getting ads with my premium + membership. And they have not given me a solution to my problem. I truly believe they don't care based on my research online, and information I got from government sites on their customer service practices in the past. I have been dealing with this issue for a month. And I am yet to receive an apology for this inconvenience. But at this point that will not help the matter. I would like to know why I have paid for premium + membership, when I am getting the same service as a free member?

After what they did to take a GREAT Roku interface and turn it into the one size fits all slop, AND not care how their customers responded to it, I would say that CR has NO IDEA what customer service is! (I would donate a dictionary so they could look it up if I thought they would read it!)

Every time i log in now, it keeps asking me for card details. I don't want crunchyroll premier! Also, if i get a FREE 30 day trial, then why do you need my card details?!

They have top-tier customer service.
I've never had problems when contacting them; they always resolve it asap.

Hmm...the last couple of times I submitted a support ticket, my issue was promptly and properly dealt with. Bear in mind that I'm a Premium + member, and one of the perks of this level is fast support, so I wouldn't expect any less. Before the membership changes, I contacted support more than once, and, other than a few times, the experience was positive.

Last i remember, Ezgi was still a mod and even as a mod, she'd openly express her frustration with the service or raise it if there is an issue to be raised. I don't think she'd pretend there's a solution if there isn't one. Guessing things have improved since that post, OP.
