As always please forgive me if this was already posted before buuuuut anyway...I'll go first XD

One day I inched up next to a young goldfinch that was on a feeder while I was outside. It watched me and seemed so easy around me that it let me walk up an pet it...I even went off for a bit then came back to pet it one more time. I thought I was fucking Jesus that day, guys....srsly--OR the bird was brain damaged from birth or a close encounter from someone's hood. I thought this was all very magical until my someone suggested that maybe it was a pet goldfinch that got out....well....fuck you and thanks for ruining my fucking happy moment prick and thats all I'll say there. D:

One other time I swear a squirrel was throwing twigs at me. But then....maybe I was just high as fuck that time, too. : / Damn, I can't remember.

You all got any stories? :O

I went hiking with my cousin and my family, and my cousin and I got to the top of the mountain about 2 hrs ahead of anyone else. This little guy hung out on my chest sharing my snacks with me the entire time. When we went to leave, he followed us down the trail for about 45 mins before he whimpered at me and scampered off. I named him Picard. Kinda miss him.

Oh, and when I was in the Okavango Delta region of Botswana, we watched a young leopard, who our guide estimated to be about 6-8 months old, play with his food (a dead mongoose) for about 45 minutes, only about 20 or so feet away from us. It was definitely a unique experience, considering we were in the wild. The mother was up in a tree watching us the whole time, ready to pounce if we got too close.

I was alone at night, in the woods, minding my own business doing black magic, when Shia LaBeouf attacked and tried to eat me.

Obviously, I escaped.

Hm, not really odd or unique but years ago at just before dawn I had a bull moose try to kill me in a parking lot during mating season.

Fortunately my car was close by when I noticed it charging toward me so I dove in and held very still. Moose are apparently so stupid it forgot what it had been doing after only a few seconds and wandered off. I read in the next day's paper that the local police had to chase it out of town because it was still wandering around downtown hours later.

Honestly, moose are both ugly and stupid. I have no idea what Canada sees in them.

One day my pet cat chased an iguana into our home. I heard scurrying and looked under the sofa, there was this green iguana over a foot long staring at me. You'll have to excuse my cat there were no mice to amuse her so she had to make do with crickets, grasshoppers, frogs, lizards ect.

I walked out the door of my family's cabin in Northern Wisconsin and just as I cleared the last step I looked up and was face to face with a Black bear cub.He stood up on his hind legs sniffing the air not more than 3 foot from me.I knew this was hardly an enviable situation and sure enough along comes the sow. It's too far to make it to the door and she's blocking my access to my rifle in my car.She looked at her cub, threw a casual glance in my direction, grunted to her cub to follow, and ambled down the driveway.

Not exactly wild being in a safari park, but an ostrich came up to the car, stared at us a while, and then started pecking the window. As a kid some 35 years ago I was simply amused. I've an old photo somewhere of an exasperated ostrich making faces at me. Looking back, it was probably looking for a handout. One isn't supposed to feed the animals at places like this, but it takes only a few scoffers to mess it up.

Actual wild animal experience: seeing millipedes come up on the sidewalk after the rain in Costa Rica, instead of earthworms as in the US Midwest where I grew up. Same and yet so very different. I found it strangely fascinating.

A kitten dug his claw right into the bridge of my nose when I was 15. All I remember is this little kitten just calmly hanging from my face as I was swinging the little fucker like I was in a moshpit trying to get him off my nose. When I think back it was pretty hilarious, but not at the time.

A snake got in our house,so we tried getting it out not by hand but by grill tongs. lol The most weird things the little dog we had was curious about the snake and walked up to it easily. The snake was curious too about the our dog. They both share a kiss, I guess to smell each other sent. Both were like "meh". We had a hard time getting that snake out of the house, but at least the dog had a new best friend. :/

When I was a child my parents took my family to feed the geese at a local pond. The geese went crazy for the food. I was like 5 so my parents were afraid the geese would attack me. They would eat the food right out of my hand. My parents got so afraid we ended up ruining away from the geese.
