How do you change the video quality on the PS4? Mine seems to be stuck on either 480p or 720p and I want to change it to 1080p since I have both a 55" TV and 60mb connection to watch it on. Also is there a way to manually adjust the screen size?

Weird I'm watching some of the newer anime that just aired today and it's fullscreen and 1080p while Bleach is cropped and 480p.

Many of the apps use adaptive streaming, and will attempt to display the best quality they can based on the network connection between your end device and CR's CDN servers. Even if some apps allow for 1080p, I can't recall if the PS3/4 apps have been confirmed to go above 720p.

If you were watching an older episode of Bleach, it was likely produced in 4x3/480p, so those are pillarboxed, not "cropped."

As eyeofpain has pointed out, Bleach in part predates the age of widespread HD (and widescreen) broadcast in Japan. A widescreen HD version was simply never created for it, therefore you will see black boxes at the left and right when watching it on a 16:9 screen. If you zoomed in on it to fill the screen horizontally, you'd lose a major part of the actual video at the top and bottom (including the subtitles).
