So many anime have such a big reputation for "sadness" and making people cry... Well to tell you the truth, most sad scenes do nothing for me... I'm not the type who cries about things period, but I can tell good ones from bad ones

Anohana's ending in my opinion was pretty silly. The yelling really does kill the "sadness"
Kannazuki no miko was so overly emotional that it bored me, so none of it was sad. I didn't like the characters either
Clannad and Angel Beats were okay...
Tokyo Magnitude 8.0 did it pretty well.
Grave of the Fireflies was mediocre all together, that film isnt' nearly as good as it's reputation.

Mostly what I don't like is all the scream/crying coupled with sad music. MENMA!!!!! MENMA!!!
However, Wolf Children had an amazingly subtle and well done sad scene that goes in a very different direction

Yes, I cry hard. I bawl my eyes out like real men do.

Sometimes. If the direction, writing, acting and atmosphere are done properly it can definitely hit me right in the feels.

I have a list of all the anime I've cried at. It's not big but when I did cry they were waterfalls.

They are: Puella Magi Madoka Magica, Colorful, Azumanga Daioh (no for real), Tengen Toppa Guren Lagann: Childhood's End (for some reason it didn't impact me as much during the tv show but it all hit me during this one).
