It was a delayed simulcast, Daisuki got it first. Go over to their website to watch if you want the simulcast up to date.

Simulcast means its being streamed as it is released I believe.

Also, there should be a countdown on each of the new video's when you click on them, letting you know when they will be released

(Moved this thread over to site questions, it seemed more appropriate than the Anime section in general)

Simulcast is where we get to see it (more or less) when it's released in Japan. A delayed simulcast is where we get to see it, but maybe a day or week after the Japanese release. There's a few different reasons that might happen, but they're all tied to the contract negotiated for CR (or other streaming sites) to show it at all.

Sometimes no one gets to air the show on a streaming service like CR for a set time, sometimes certain sites get first access, and others can follow up later. Attack on Titan had another kind of issue, where CR got to simulcast it with the Japan airing, but then had to temporarily remove the show while it was being aired in the US. All part of the negotiation process so that CR can get the show.

It's kind of hard to know if/when someone else has it first. The best bet there is to look for general anime news releases for shows you're interested in - they always list all the sites that will have the show legally available.

Crunchyroll is like 3 getting close to 4 episodes behind on Kuroko's Basketball.

You keep aprised of anime-related news, via CR's own news section and sites like ANN, especially around the time new simulcasts will be announced for various services (mid-December - January for winter, mid-March - April for spring, mid-June - July for summer, mid-September - October for fall).

In the Anime section of the forum, you'll also find each upcoming season has a dedicated topic, where among other things, people will post when they've seen a simulcast announcement, whether it is on CR or elsewhere.

This was the one for winter:

These are the ones for spring and summer:

Daisuki is currently on episode 63 while CR is on episode 61. (That's episodes 13 and 11, respectively, of the third season if you are looking somewhere else that numbers them that way).

Even a couple of fansub sites I checked don't have anything later than Daisuki, so I don't know how you are getting "like 3 getting close to 4 episodes behind" unless you truly suck at math.

Bit douchey there. Second of since Crunchyroll was so far behind last time I check Kuroko's basktball on here was when it was waiting on episode 60 when epsiode 63 already up at other places.

I tend to get that way sometimes when a person is clearly exaggerating. My apologies for being in bad mood at the time.

Even with their being a period while CR had only episode 60, while 63 was available "elsewhere", that doesn't clear the "getting close to 4" part, as that would have required it to be close to time for those other sites to post episode 64.

The scheduled time for episodes to go up on CR is exactly 2 weeks + 32 minutes after the episode began airing in Japan. Even assuming it didn't go up at the scheduled time (and the RSS feed shows it did), that gap between when you saw episodes 60 at CR but 63 elsewhere and the time CR posted 61 would have to have measured in hours.

I've noticed when checking on things like this from time to time that some fansub websites like to put in placeholders for the newest episodes ahed of time (perhaps to try and grab people looking for the first site with an episode), so unless you saw an actual available video rather than a listing, you may have been deceived by false information. I noticed on one of the sites I checked for the latest episode they had of Kuroko's, that they had an episode 1 placeholder for a series that doesn't even have a broadcast date set yet!

I saw the actual episode because when I hadn't seen any of the episodes on a few weeks I noticed the site I watched them all was 3 episodes ahead and two days later when they were going to post episode 59 several hours away a new episode had already come out so they were 3 behind then.
They weren't placeholders as they were the actual episodes I know because I watched them.
