Yeah I can find good anime in any genre, it just depends if it clicks with me for whatever reason. But I don't think that means you can't have a favourite genre, for me it's slice of life, i cant get enough :D

I usually find something in every genre that I like but I tend to steer away from Mahou Shojo and Horror titles due to personal preference.

I can usually find at least a few shows that I like in every genre, even if there are some some genres that I'm more drawn to in general. But even in the genres I like the most there might be entire subgenres that I don't like at all. For example, I enjoy slice of life a lot. However, I'd be hard pressed to find anything I like in the "cute girls doing cute things" segment of that genre.

I don't watch shows based on genre, but rather what sounds interesting to me. That's how I am with everything though; books, music, movies. I don't choose based on genre.

There are certain genres I'm more wary of due to past experiences watching them, but there's at least one show in every genre I hold in high regard.

Not really. I'll pretty much watch anything so long as it interests me. Though, certain genres are more likely to garner my attention than others. The only except is probably tragedy. I'll drop shows I really like if I found out it has a sad ending. It's the reason I dropped Your Lie in April.

No.

There are loli everywhere now.

Genre means nothing when it has all become otaku bait.

I have enjoyed anime and manga from all genres. Heck, I guess the genre wrong quite a lot of the time (Ah My Goddess is a Seinen, for instance, something I never would have guessed).

That being said, I won't go so far as to say that "genre doesn't matter". If I'm told something is a Shoujo romance or a Seinen ecchi or a shounen harem or a josei smut, those all set very different expectations: about artwork, about adult content, and about the type of comedy or drama. Those expectations will lead me to watch or read different things (depending on what I'm in the mood for). And they help define for me the standards for comparison.

No! I like allmost all anime! :)

I love harem/ecchi tough! Hot girls (and/or boys, both are good) and lots of humor usually too! It helps I am a huge pervert - I am *REALLY * enjoying ´picking up girls in the dungeon´ and ´highschool dxd born´ so far~

But I also watch and LOVE hello!! Kinmoza~ And arslan senki, and ghost in the shell, knights of sidonia, ansatsu kyoushitsu, owari no seraph, gunslinger stratos, and love comedy SNAFU, and am gonna watch (and probably enjoy XD) Triage x (most ecchi show of the season, almost porn, and I like it, looks hot and with badass action/violence :3) and etotama~

So yeah, all genres for me! (desu!!)

I don't actively filter shows just because of genre. I watch things just because 1 it looked interesting or 2 I heard its music somewhere and liked it. I feel like a good amount of the shows I've watched have been slice of life while I've only seen a handful of mech animes, so I guess genre matters somewhat to me subconsciously.

While my interests do tend to lean to certain genres, I won't write off an anime purely because of what genre it is. I can say I have enjoyed anime from pretty much every genre, but I can't say that genre does not completely matter.

I used to say yes to this. I used to only care about Mecha. Primarily Gundam/Macross. But now I watch it all. Story, art, characters, etc. That is what matters.

Do I have genres I prefer? yep. Primarily still Mecha along with Fantasy, Action, Adventure, Rom, Com. and some ecchi shows. I want to be entertained and invested in characters. That is all I ask for.

I have a preferred genre that I'd call my "go to" genre, but it doesn't matter. Especially when it matters the least. It matters less then.
