For the past week or two, I have been having freezing issues on my Roku 2 XD, but they only occur during the ad breaks.

The first ad usually plays fine, but something happens during the transition to the next ad (or from the second to the third ad) where it won't load or play, and gets stuck on the black screen between ads. I have tried waiting 30+ seconds in the hopes that it just loaded a "blank" ad by mistake, but it remains stuck. Backing out of the show and restarting it from where I left off allows the show to continue, but it sometimes occurs again during the next ad break.

I assume this only affects non-premium members. Any thoughts?

nope everybody sometime have that the best way is to refresh the page or if the video said error go to a different site/youtube.
also if the video skip it to the next episode try to go back where you was.

I see the same thing on my Roku 2 XD.

Like you, I think that this started only recently.

I'm not sure how to restart from where I left off - I have been starting at the beginning and advancing to the point where I was, but that is tedious and time-consuming. How do you do that?

OK, it just happened again, and this time it asked me whether I wanted to resume where I was last viewing.

Don't think that I've seen that before.

happens to me too since about a week ago. Crunchyroll is basically unuseable now on my Roku, which is unfortunate. I literally can't watch anything because the video won't load and the Roku will reset itself everytime I try. Not a single thing works. But Crunchyroll doesn't seem to care about that.

Yep, I have the same issue. When will this be fixed? I don't mind watching the ads, but at least let me watch them...

I've been having this issue with my roku 2 for at least 2 months now. I just sent in an email to their help email. I recommend sending in emails to crunchy roll. Hopefully they will recognize that this is a problem for their users and will fix it.
I'm glad that they have implemented their "resume last viewing" but I would much rather them fix this terrible crashing bug. It makes me not want to use crunchyroll at all anymore.

I don't know about anyone else's but during the ads, it black screens first then straight up crashes my roku 2 causing it to restart completely.
