Not watching anything today, but I did stop what I was doing to see my childhood favorite, Eric Chavez, throw the opening pitch for the A's with Mark Ellis. ^^

Chicago Cubs fan here! I haven't purchased my tickets yet, but I will be getting a pair of tickets for August 7, against the Giants. I'm a bit skeptical about the 2015 hype. I loved Back to the Future, but I don't think the Cubs will be snatching the World Series this year. We've got a young team, and the players need a lot more experience on the field. I'm looking forward to Kris Bryant joining the team again in a couple of days.

I think Joe Maddon is a good match because he's really good with young players. It'll be a good transition year for the Cubs, and teams should definitely pay attention to you guys in the future.

I dislike most pro sports due to them taking the actual sport out of it and making it all about the money. As for baseball itself i never did get the amount of attention it gets, to me it's one of the most boring sports to play and watch, I much more prefer Kendo or some other martial arts not of UFC base to any pro ball sport.

No disrespect to those who watch or play it, its just my personal view on it.

Let's go Orioles. I started watching baseball a couple of months, its not that bad. At least not as boring as golf or nascar, or even tennis when the same people make the finals everytime. But i still think there is too many games and they get paid ridiculous amounts of money, but that is another debate. Lets go O's.

As a Mariners fan I FINALLY have a legitimate reason to get excited!!

It's been like 15 years since they were any good~

Yeah you guys look good this year!
I was happy and sad to see Ichiro leave the Mariners and come to the Yanks. Do you think that after his 1yr contract with Miami ends that he'll sign a 1 day deal to retire as a Mariner? Sorry that was a bit off topic. lol (I've been a fan of Ichiro since I was little.)

Hadn't heard anything about that, but that would be a super class act thing to do. We all still love him here in the Northwest and in a weird and sad way we were happy to seem him go to the Yankees. He deserved better than what we could offer in terms of money and winning percentage. He is indeed a special player~

I just moved to Boston, so I' super excited to see the Red Sox in their home town this season! I'm originally from the south and have seen the Braves, but wasn't really a fan and I've only see the Red Sox during spring training in Florida. Yay for new experiences!

I agree, I would really like to see him retire as a Mariner. I wish we could have done more while he was in pinstripes. It's been a rough few years for the Yanks, and it looks like another rough few years are ahead of us.
I remember growing up, Ichiro made being an outfielder an awesome thing. On my list of baseball players that inspired me...he's right behind Jeter.

This feels so weird watching the Braves game on MLB Network. I don't recognize this team.
