Episode 6 released!
http://gamersmustdie.com/2015/09/omd-ep6-front-pussy/

In this episode we begin with a synopsis of new series Alex and I have been into, which includes a lengthy and gross discussion on Alex's new guilty pleasure; Monster Musume. As well as my love for Overlord, and how it's a perfect wish fulfillment series for me. We then move on to a synopsis on Charlotte- Fans of NBC's Heroes as well as X-men will definitely enjoy it!

In a discussion on our favorite older titles, we end up riffing on what our favorite pokemon movies were: Look forward to the infamous Herman Cain speech from Pokemon the movie 2000!

We wrap up this episode with news, where we cover a variety of topics, including our feelings on the Ore Monogatari live action trailer, and the devastating effects of the Ashley Madison hack on at least one Otaku's life. Alex also takes some time to explain to us exactly what a Tenga is...and if you don't know already. Well. It's disturbing.

I saw part of one but stopped there because it was over 2 hours long and I'd rather watch 4 episodes of the anime you were talking about in that time.
I think there ought to be a rule about a listening to a review longer than the content being reviewed.

Our first 4 episodes are around 45 minutes. Ep 5 is an hour+ten, and episode 6 is an hour.

Length is still a fair critique though. So in a perfect world, what would be an ideal podcast length for you?

I think made for tv shows have the right idea on how long they can expect to hold my attention.
between 20 to 30 mins but that would mean less time for 6 hosts to talk. mabe it's simply a case of not being a show for me.

It kinda sounds like what you had watched was the Usagiroll Podcast.

20-30 minutes feels a little short for me, but I think we probably have been going a little long lately. I'm going to try to be a bit more aware of running time for future episodes. Our 40-50 minute episodes probably were easier on our audience to tune in on than over an hour.

Ahh yeah I'm the only active Crunchyroller on our podcast. Though Alex has an account as well.

Here's Usagiroll's thread, Animekami is indeed on that one. http://www.crunchyroll.com/forumtopic-914899/introducing-usagiroll-new-anime-podcast-from-the-crunchyroll-community

You should give ours a try though as well! haha

Episode 7 released!
http://gamersmustdie.com/2015/10/omd-ep7-heroic-tears/

Sorry it went longer than I expected. I prefer to keep the length under an hour, but there were certain segments that I really wanted to cover this episode, and they ended up taking up more time than I had anticipated.

Oh and also if I seem a little bit low energy, it's because I usually have about 4 times more caffeine than I had that day to psyche myself up for it lol. Plus I was a little bit sick with a cold. Oh well, live and learn!

Let me know if you have any comments, questions, or suggestions!

Episode 8 released!
http://gamersmustdie.com/2015/11/omd-ep8-more-aggressive/

In today's episode we managed to cram in a pretty substantial amount of segments, so yet again we're looking at a running time that's well over an hour!

We begin with news, where we cover Crunchyroll's recent news that it is going to co-produce anime in Japan. From there, Alex and I give our thoughts on the Kizumonogatari trailer due to a fan request, as well as read out all of the other comments we've received over the months for the podcast. Send us more!

We follow with our regular segment detailing what we've been watching out of currently airing series, beginning with Ben briefly discussing his thoughts on the recent South Park episode about yaoi. (Personally, I think Craig is the bottom). I then give a synopsis on Shomin Sample and how hilarious I find the whole premise of the show to be. And Alex discusses season 2 of Noragami, as well as season 2 of Haikyuu!. We also do reviews on Shirobako and the Tamayura series.

Our final segment consists of Alex attempting to teach some basic Japanese phrases to Ben and I, hooray for new content! In today's lesson we're covering greetings, and I'm sure it will come as no shock that we both end up being...not so good at speaking Japanese. Oh well!

Episode 9 released!
http://gamersmustdie.com/2015/12/omd-ep9-not-an-idol-anime/

We start off this episode with news, beginning with the announcement that Samurai Jack is coming back to TV for a new season! It may not technically be an anime, but oh well! We're stoked! From there we move on to a brief and hopefully relatively spoiler free synopsis of the Steins;Gate alternate episode 23 OVA that recently aired, and how excited I am about the upcoming Steins;Gate 0 adaptation. And as a side note guys, if any of you are Steins;Gate fans make sure to comment and give me some validation here. Because I sure as hell don't get any from my co-hosts!

Our next segment is another Japanese lesson from Alex. Today's lesson is Goodbye's, and it should come as no surprise that Ben and I are still pretty cringey at trying to learn this stuff.

Moving on from there we dive into our thoughts on this season, and since both Alex and I are still watching the same shows it's pretty much more of the same. We do mention some of the funny gags in Yuru Yuri though, so I'll link a few youtube videos of my favorites!

We end this episode with each of us doing a series review. Alex covers her recent viewing of Maria Holic. And Ben has finally completed Gurren Lagann, and shares his thoughts on it. About time he contributes something, dammit! We end the episode with me issuing a retraction on previous misconceptions I had for School-Live as well as a short review of it.!

Episode 10 released!
http://gamersmustdie.com/2016/01/omd-ep10-my-lifes-passion/

For today's episode we are completely forgoing news because there really hasn't been anything too interesting happening in the industry worth mentioning, so we begin by briefly covering our thoughts on the ending of the Fall season as well as series that I had stalled out on watching as well. My final conclusion is that while there were some really fun series airing that I was able to enjoy quite a bit, it was overall a pretty weak lineup.

From there we dive straight into reviews of series that we've watched recently, and since I had gotten Alex to watch 'Love, Chunibyo and Other Delusions' over the Christmas break we finally got a chance to cover it. That was great for me, because Chuunibyou is in fact my all time favorite anime! I find it very cute. Just so, so, very cute. Maybe the cutest thing I've ever seen...

From there we also briefly cover School-Live! again because Alex got a chance to watch that as well. There is a pretty major spoiler, but don't worry! I used my incredible editing skills to keep you all safe from the knowledge that the stupid little [ ] died.

The last part of this episode is another seasonal lineup discussion for this winter's anime season. And I must say that in the 4 or so years that I've kept track of seasonal anime, I have never been so underwhelmed by a season as I am with this one.

I just wanted to say thanks for reading my comment on episode 8, didn't realize it was going to be read but it was nice none the less. I'd also like to say that while I do enjoy Ben's reaction to learning anything about anime as it always gets me laughing, I do like your and Alex's opinions as well. You guys as a trio just have a way of making me laugh with your discussions which is what I like most about the podcast. Either way thanks again, can't wait for the next episode

P.S I appreciated the discussion about Love, Chunibyo, & Other Delusions as it is my favorite anime, probably my favorite part of the newest episode.

Episode 11 released!
http://gamersmustdie.com/2016/02/omd-ep11-sunshine-and-rainbows/

Today's episode opens with news, where we discuss Prius' bizarre ad campaign that personifies car components as cute anime girls. Seriously, it's a real thing. We then move into some Dragon Ball news featuring Akira Toriyama's recent resolution to dramatically improve the quality of Dragon Ball Super.

From there we continue our DragonBall discussion by reviewing the recently released French fan film "DBZ The Fall of Men." We highly recommend watching it prior to listening to this podcast, because there will be spoilers in our review! You have all been warned!

Alex starts off our review segment by giving us her impression on one of Jared's all time favorite sports anime series, "Chihayafuru." Ben is less than impressed.

And for our final segment of the day we give our thoughts on the season so far. Alex talks about why she dropped Dagashi Kashi (much to Jared's chagrin). But Jared and Alex do manage to agree that due to its interesting story that's vaguely reminiscent of "The Butterfly Effect," and its excellent quality, "Erased" is probably the show to watch this season. Alex also gives her thoughts on "Grimgar of Fantasy and Ash" and how its put a new, and interesting spin on the "trapped in an MMO' genre..
