Have you watched anything recently or read any manga recently where you felt the urge to comment on the theological elements or implications of the show? Let's talk about stuff like that here.

I kind of envisioned things like this being discussed here - us reviewing and discussing anime from a Biblical perspective.

I write articles from time to time on my website on this very topic. Here's an example from an episode of Nameko Families - why yes, I did write up a piece on marriage & that 5-minute short form series on mushroom people!

I've noticed in Blue Exorcist very Christian themes. The main female friend is always speaking about a Perfect Garden her grandmother spoke to her about. She hoped to find her grandmother their. I always thought of this as the Garden of Eden, although it has a different name in the show.

Today's episode of OreGairu expresses the difficulties of Christian life after coming to faith. Yukino, one of the main characters, is trying to change from her cold, distance self in establishing geniuine relationships with her friends, but it's slow going. Transformation, too, takes time, and it can be hard to run from the vices that affect us. Of course, if we know the way to be right, we'll continue to press down that path (as Yukino is doing), and further as Christians, we're empowered by the Holy Spirit and secured by God's provisions and promises as we seek Him.

Amen to that. That's not a show I'm familiar with or have seen.

Also, what this guy writes is always worth reading!

I've been watching Angel Beats! very slowly and expressing my opinions on the series and Biblical truths & falsehoods we see in the series. Here's some of my comments on Episode 3. More will be coming tomorrow on my site.
