So I have really long, wavy blonde hair, and I shed EVERYWHERE. I will run my hand through my hair and I end up pulling out 5+ hairs. In addition to that, my hair sticks to all of my clothes and I spend my time picking off around 15+ hairs. Is this just me that has problems with their hair falling out constantly ???

Do you brush your hair ? Brushing your hair will make it healthy. Do you put hot water all the time on your hair ? If so stop doing that and use cold or medium temperature for washing your hair. Do you dry your hair aggressively or fast ? If so you need to stop doing that and do it slowly otherwise you are hunting your hair. I have long hair that goes below my shoulder and my Mom is a stylist, so I know how to take care of my hair and other people.

I agree with this. Also, as a person with curly hair (I have it straightened in my profile pic tbh), I wouldn't recommend brushing it aggressively when it's still wet. Wide-toothed combs and wetbrushes are amazing for curly hair. Brush it before you get into the shower.

no... if youre going bald you'd notice other signs. my hair falls out a lot but i have a lot of hair/it's really thick etc. it's just your body going through it's natural metabolic processes

Its always helpful to recieve advice from others, but you should use caution , and get seen if it gets worse..remember nobody here is qualified to give you medical advice without both having a med degree seeing you in person. As pru said, how you brush your hair matters, mine's natural curly, what you put on it matters, the kind of shampoo and conditioner you use matters, not to overdry it or keep it up for too long a time. Unless you lack insurance it isn't that costly to pay your doc a visit if it is bothering you, s/he might dispel you any further anxiety, kk? its your mop, though

Maybe it's time to get a pixie hair cut.

I hope you look good on that.

No.

I used to have long wavy blonde hair too, and every time ran my fingers through it, I'd pull about 5-10 hairs. I freaked out about it, asked someone to take a look, they told me I was fine.

15 years later, I still have a full head of hair (though it's now cut shorter and I don't notice the stands that fall out)

I will say this, eating healthy is also a good idea. Even if you're not going bald, if your diet sucks, it can make your hair fall as well.

My hair is starting to look like my Dad's, except that I'm balding at an older age than he was. He was balding when he was 21. Me around 24. Past couple of years, I've been getting a Widows Peak going on. But the top of my head is still has hair, unlike my dad did when he was 21.

It's natural to lose about 100 hairs a day. A few years ago every time I would shower i'd run my hands through my hair and lots came out. My hair got thinner but never had any bald spots or whatnot then it stopped coming out. Now maybe I will only get 1 or 0 hairs coming out in the shower. My hair is thicker now and maybe it's because I started taking biotin but I don't know.

Some curlies benefit from ditching the brushing altogether.

The hair shed mentioned is well within reason of normal shedding.
