I did Had a great time.

I love natural landscapes... and initially went there to see the flowers, but ended up enjoying most other aspects of Japanese cultures...

Japan has a lot of temples and shrines, and I went to a lot of temple and shrines lol. and there's always people. so it was fun. and people selling food on the street--sort of like in anime.

and girls dressing up nicely in traditional clothing... I kind of enjoyed that aspect to be honest.

and the cherry blossoms being there, I think makes the mood really light and happy? idk... I'm a very sentimental person xD.

For school we the people studying Japanese get to go to Japan this year. I'm going with them and I'm really excited!!! Is there anything I should be aware of or not do while I am over there with the others? (other than obvious things like being rude.) Japan sounds like an amazing place to visit!!

Well, i noticed in japan, the people are really quiet, even on public transports... so maybe they like quietness? It's not like Sydney, where people talk at the top of their lungs in public transports...
They also don't talk on their phones while in the train.

When you go into a shrine, you have to wash your hands and mouth with the holy water or something.

Don't tip anyone over there... they don't like being tipped, even if it's loose change, you have to take your change lol.

When wearing their traditional yukata or kimono... you have to put the left side over the right side.

______________

But don't be too overly conscious of these things lol. I think the people over there are nice and just enjoy your time there :D

I don't know when you are going, but the cherry blossoms only last for about 2 weeks... they've already falling in Tokyo

Thank you!! I will keep it all in mind for when we go, but unfortunately we're going later in the year so we won't see the cherry blossoms but hey I'm just glad I'm going at all. One day I'll go back and see the cherry blossoms!! Sorry one more thing, what's the weather like? Does it stay mostly the same temperature?

Hmmm... not really

i went during spring (just returned today), and weather was constantly changing. One day it was 21 degree celcius and sunny in Tokyo, when i was returning to Sydney, it was 3 degree celcius with a little snow at Narita International Airport xD.

If you go during Spring or Autumn, i think it's a good idea to bring some warm jackets... you never know when it's going to go cold.

Ah Kyoto I will visit you someday even if I'm 90 years old and in a wheelchair lol. I envy those that have been able to travel to places they want to travel too.
