I'm sure a lot of people may find the food of this Spring's Food Wars series to be quite stylish, fabulous, delicious, or whatever you like to call it.

My family is often looking for new types of food of all categories since diversity is a good thing to try with. I think this series portrays some of the dishes to be quite well imo or at least in a way that has style or flavor. Anyone want to post some of the dishes they've cooked so far that has similarity to the ones in the show?

I saw this one from last week on the web and may try to cook irl one of these days:

Feel free to post any ingredient list as well. The one from the first episode is apparently something similar to the Nanchatte Pork Steak although I'm not sure how to cook it yet.

Mm, so latest episode's food dish was this:

I've seen this before and looks simple enough. Might look for a recipe list later.

hey I might try that recipe too. I just watched that episode and I am seriously going to try it on my coming day off, now I am craving for it , I pretty much have all the ingridient for it

but I want to try this when it cools down again....Champon similar to the anime Barakamon's Champon

however this one is a Nagasaki Champon...but its close enough to the Goto Island

That looks delicious but I can't cook!
Mother doesn't like cooking from other cultures so I'm at a loss

You could always learn, helping out your mom helps you learn the basics.

Really, all you need for cooking is the right recipe and the right tools/ingredients!

Welp, ANN just posted this recently. I can't link the video but it shows some real life cooking style from the show.

tomorrow I am going to try recipe one

update:

lol

I finally made it ... Dekimashita !!!

I had to do the broth the night before and I think you have to take it down to room temperature before you put into you hot rice becuase it took the cubes a while to dissolve, i had to help it with a little microwave action but then the cubes dissolve immediately

p.s. the 4 eggs were all in this bowl : ...it wasnt a lot .... sorry , the farmer's market valencia oranges were in the background,
I am not into putting sugar into my eggs, so next time I wont put any ....maybe some honey

If anyone is interested, Aohige over at AS forums have cooked both transforming furikake gohan and Boeuf Bourguignon using Souma's recipe/improvisation... with pictures and instructions. CR forbids me from publicly posting AS links so if you're interested to see you can go to AS's Shokugeki thread or pm me for direct links to his posts.

HI guys ,
here is my first attemp of a Souffle omelette ,another version , it has spinach and parmessean cheese in it

I made it a bit crispy on the outside , as one of the french chef technique so it actually broke when I fold it into the plate, maybe it was a bit cooler still but , I didnt make the tomato sauce and If I did I would make it it out of fresh tomatoes with parsley and basil ..
I was too hungry already

Anyway , I was cracking up when I was whipping the egg white.... I was doing it by hand and I got tired easily I have to stop

I used 3 jumbo eggs and it sure is a jumbo omelet :D

I followed some of her ways to the souffle

I might do Zuppa di pesce next
