My husband tried his hand at Karaage for this first time today. It was a great success.

Well, that looks pretty good.

So, anyone who has walked into a Chinese restaurant in the US in the last 15 years (and 30+ if it's been on the East Coast) has seen and probably tasted General Tso's chicken: dark meat battered and deep-fried with a sweet and spicy glaze usually served over white rice. How different is it from Karaage?

it looks tasty

a basic karaage has ginger, soy sauce, garlic sake marinade and then in order to get a crispy outer layer , the last thing you do is dusting it with potato starch before dipping into the oil

and here is my second attemp on the souffle egg but omellete style with lettuce tomato with parmesean and cheddar cheese and the tomato sauce which I dont like how it looks . I used crush tomatoes but I think a lighter tomato sauce almost a salsa is better... maybe next time

well I am going to eat it coz I havent eaten yet

my family & i made garlic chicken karaage last night, it was good and not dry even though we didnt have a sauce to put on it, it would be better i think if it had a general tso spicy sauce on it, or something, but then maybe itd just be general tso chicken & not specifically karaage. i also really wanna make omelette rice, a version with just ketchup and maybe a sturdier omelette, and then also try the type where the omelette spills open and add the demiglace. i also wanna try the chaliapin steak sometime. this show and grafitti girl made me get a rice cooker

After episode 22 of Food Wars, decided to make the Pineapple Curry mixture showcased (for the brief moment) on Labor Day. The dish was inspired by it and I used my own ingredients since the ingredients were real vague in the anime. Thus, the result I got was pretty epic. The Blog contains the ingredients I used.

Decided to tackle the Apple Risotto cooked in Episode 16. However, I put my own twist in it. I wanted to make it more of a dinner item, so I replaced the Bacon with Salmon! Well, it was pretty epic. Ingredients are in blog
