I couldn't care less since RWBY is just a generic battle show with over the top fights and graphics that look like they were taken from a WonderSwan. Terrible story, sub par voice acting, generic characters...really not anything good.

then why are you here?

Because the beauty of the internet is you can be where ever your mouse clicks. Don't think just because people don't like something it somehow invalidates their ability to click on the subject matter.

No it's a forum topic and you don't need to be a blind fanboy to post in a thread. The rules of forums do not state "only post if you support the show"...what kind of after school special logic are you trying to use?

well, why else would you go into a thread for a show you don't support other than out of boredom? why would you not rather talk about something you enjoy? you're the one whose logic is illogical.

Y'all need to calm the eff down. Anyway, I think it's awesome that RWBY is definitely coming back. I'm not sure how long I can go without Nora and Ren.

FumaLeifoh apparently likes spending time discussing shows he doesn't like. Another example:
http://www.crunchyroll.com/forumtopic-892039/monster-musume-no-iru-nichijou-tv-series-anticipation-and-discussion?fpid=50700187

I'll wager there are more.

The best response is no response. People tend not to stick around where they are ignored. Of course, it only takes one person responding to keep things going. Human nature being what it is, it is unreasonable to expect everyone to ignore someone trashing a show they like.

The real issue is whether the messages cross the line from criticism of elements of a show (which is permitted) into flame-baiting (which isn't).

Firstly don't presume you know me because you find one or two posts. Secondly, this entire forum is called Anime Discussion. A discussion is a conversation between two or more people with not necessarily similar views.

If people are not mature enough to know how to discuss and immediately jump to the "why are you here if you dislike the show" concept, that is beyond asinine when the forum is for discussion.

Lastly, it's much easier to find things to talk about when a show is disliked. If people are so damn protective of their little shows maybe they need to branch out a little. I pointed out huge flaws with this show and was only met with ignorance and the assumption that I was baiting for attention.

Maybe people should grow up and learn how to bring up counter points instead of use the mob rule mentality of "fans rally against this person because everyone with an opposing view is a troll and hater"!

Considering that this thread was created to discuss the future of the show, and not the quality of the previous seasons (though that aim was abandoned by the third post) it's understandable why people would think you're just posting for attention. If you wanted to discuss the issues and flaws with the show, the actual discussion thread for it exists. What this looks like is you seeing a topic about a show you hate, and feeling the need to let everyone know that you hated it, despite this certain thread not really being the topic for that.

It's like someone creating a topic asking for your favourite character from a certain anime, and someone coming in and posting about why that anime is crap. It's somewhat on topic, but you know that's not the place to post something like that. That's what the anticipation and discussion threads are for. Maybe then people will feel more inclined to discuss your points, but posting your hate for the show here really does feel like you baiting for attention.

Given the fact that threads are railroaded constantly, by post three here you admitted that yourself. It seemed appropriate instead of wading through God knows how many pages for a discussion thread, when this is a discussion forum. Discussion threads within themselves are redundant.

Plus if you ever noticed when threads are made about favorite characters it does eventually boil down to "wow that character sucks".

However my post was on topic, in regards to the future I don't care cause I find nothing redeeming about this show from animation, to story, to character development. Thusly, mine was on topic. Because I worded it in a very matter of fact way could be why the assumption was made that it was bait, but I personally don't care about tap dancing around feelings because my wording is a little harsh.

I'd gladly discuss the perceived merits of the show and why I think it's terrible...but most people would rather get offended than apply brain power.

First off - I apologize in advance if a similar topic has been made, I used the search feature and didn't find any topics that confirmed RWBY will continue.

On to the topic at hand now, as many are aware now Monty Oum died in February. This has led a lot of people to assume that RWBY will be discontinued. While we are all saddened by Monty's death, and while Monty was heavily involved in the shaping of the future of the world of remnant, RWBY will NOT be discontinued. It is rumored to return in August, however, this is not confirmed. The only details that are confirmed right now are that RWBY will be continuing. Please see the official quote below in the spoiler tag.

That's great news ... while the animation on RWBY was often really bad, it was one of the few shows I could watch when I was in China, and I liked its cheeky attitude.

As far as whether its anime or not ... lemme quickly check whether it makes any different ...

{step, step, step, rustle} hmmm ... {rustle}. Ah, here it is.

Nope, it doesn't. It turns out that it is exactly the same piece of work whether one person calls it anime or another person refuses to.
