Original CR logo

I remember the logo, but I think by the time I rolled on in, they'd ditched "Feed Your Need."

They still use that original sushi image as the spinning "waiting" indicator for some things. It always amuses me to to see it.

What's the new motto of CR now then?

Some swag I've go says "OFFICIAL SOURCE FOR ANIME & DRAMA" --I thought that used to be on the site as well, but I might be falsely remembering.

And the Roku channel description says "The Official Source for Anime & Drama."

I don't really see too much of a similarity other than a circular shape, and plenty of logos use such a circular shape.

What? The logos look completely different. The Crunchy roll logo is an eye looking down and left. The Ocado logo is a swirl that subtends 3 dimensionally up, right and outward.

It's not that similar, but I can see why you would think it is.

no offense, but the old CR logo looks like a man's tadpole with that little funky tail going on.

I prefer the new Illuminati eye logo.

Ocado has had that symbol in its logo since its founding in 2000. CR was founded in 2006, and the current CR logo began its use in 2012. However unfounded the debate may be, ardently playing the "who-copied-who" game would result in CR striking out.

You would think that. Right?

In the early to mid 1990's Microsoft sued a company in Canada called Windows. That company sold windows - the kind that go on houses and buildings. They were in business since the late 1800's with that same name. They were very successful and well known - in Canada.

Microsoft said that Windows violated it's copy right and was causing confusion among consumers (basically saying that people couldn't tell the difference between Windows on PCs and windows on a house).

Microsoft was founded in the early 1990's, and this company was about a hundred years old. Microsoft won the case. The company had to change its name.

A couple of years later, they went out of business because the folks in Canada were looking for Windows, but couldn't find it in the updated phone books and business directories and such. No one knew what the company's new name was.

(That was in the very early days of Internet - when it was all text. Which is why people used phone books to find businesses, in those days.)

I just want to correct one thing Microsoft was founded in 1975 in Albuquerque, New Mexico not the early 1990's granted the company may not have become a house hold name until the 1990's.

Recently, I've noticed many of our customers are wearing clothes with a logo on it similar to Crunchroll's, which seems to be slowly replacing the Life is Good apparel they all had on before. I don't know anything about clothes or fashion (I still wear stuff I've had since I was in high school), but if anyone knows what I am typing about, it would help to kill my curiosity.

The old logo still used as in embedded old licensed videos.
Remember when it said "Watch you anime for free" http
