I don't have them often due to a lack of interest, but the most recent one was towards a guy in my college class...my reaction on our first day was, "oh my, he's so handsome XD"- it was the first I'd taken a liking to someone due to their appearance and didn't speak a word to him until we were placed on the same team in 2nd year. He was nice and polite, but he had a rather intimidating air about him (not in a mean way, just sort of..."too cool for me!" lol) and I still wasn't interested in dating so I left it at that.

As it turns out, another guy who had been placed in our group started chatting with me, and quickly admitted that he'd liked me since first year and thought we should date. I plainly told him that I wasn't interested in dating- he wasn't my type by personality or looks, and really, even without my current crush, I wasn't interested in dating anyone! He was persistent though, to the point that it started to irritate me. I'm sure it sounds mean, but I really didn't like how pushy he was.

One day, my group and I gathered together in the computer lab for work- the guy interested in dating me sat beside my crush at first, but then switched over to where I was. "I think I'll sit here instead" he announced, "you're cuter than so-and-so anyways"- referring to my crush.

"I dunno about that!" I replied immediately, mostly in an attempt to block his flirtation, but quickly realized I'd basically declared in a very clear and suggestive tone that the person he'd been sitting beside, my crush, was cute. "Lots of people are cuter than me!" I added in hastily, after which we all got down to work.

I was so embarrassed!! Luckily no one said anything about it, but I'll always wonder if he didn't notice or just didn't care haha.

umm...idk :/ I'm restless and it's hard for me to like someone for a while. It's only a temporary feeling. Unless that person on that i love and care about dearly (like family) which has happened

That is a pretty funny thing to say. I wish my subconscious will feed me good lines like that!

But in all seriousness, I kinda love it when someone says something like that. One time, I was with some friends of mine, who were girls, and I made a comment about a girl, who was our TA for a class. I said "She's wearing the same shirt as me!" And my friend Sarah said "Yeah, but you aren't as cute as her." But then I wittily replied "So I'm still kinda cute, right?"

She couldn't argue with that logic.

Admittedly, adulthood isn't easy, but it isn't devoid of happiness, love, or excitement if you try. I love being over 50, but I get up and work at it every day. There's no way I'd like to return to my youth.

Growing old is awesome, and rare. Enjoy every sandwich.

Yeah.

But geeze, I'm so conflicted because I dislike relationships and long distance ones are even worse..but she's just so...I would date her. I would seriously and honestly date her.

Yeah happened before and yes long relationships can suck a lot. Can get very miserable very quickly if you cannot visit each other.

Ya, I fell for someone hard almost immediately after meeting her, during spring break. Never saw her again after break ended.

Your family is just close minded. That's horrible because it shouldn't matter as long as you are happy. I'm sorry you had to put up with that. But i'm sure it's made you a bit stronger.

You'll learn its not that bad to be honest. If the feelings are really there. You will learn quick if it happens with you and whoever we happen to be talking about. And i'm glad i gave you the confidence you have to do it when the moment comes by. I want to hear about it either way it plays out!

Good thing's can't happen without attempting to reach out for them. Just move at a good pace, keep talking and see where it goes. I learned this myself recently. Good can't exist without bad. Good can't happen without trying. I'm sure your smart enough to notice where it goes. and how to play your cards. ;P

Yes, thank you I will let you know how it goes. Hahaha I haven't gotten the chance to ask or anything yet, but maybe after finals haha.

Well, I certainly respect THE BRUCE..what he says is truth no doubt..and I'm old enough to know. But Being "old" (what is that exactly?) I don't know if it is a good thing..no it is not. But neither is being young.

Of course. Sure, its possible. But I don't understand..if it is long distance how can you date? Well I guess it is possible in the oriented culture of the internet. But I've been there and its no good, but then..that has been my experience.
