couldn't find another thead, so im starting one. (i did get it right and its the only one, right?)

well. it was great. really, super great. and then it ended.
why this is in my top 3 list of anime if absolutly Fing HATE.

I thought it was alright. I wasn't quite as bothered by the ending as you were. Though i can see your point.

I think you're OK with this being a separate thread. There was a thread for the followup series (which was about different people), but I couldn't find one for this separate movie other than the catalog pickup announcement in the site news, and that had other announcements with it.

As for the story, I guess they meant it to not be the fairy tale ending we all would hope for. except for the
part, that's pretty much what would happen IRL, I think. Overthrowing a class structure can only come two ways, literal revolution, or all the old people finally dying without having passed their prejudices onto the next generation. The latter is by far the slower process.

Perhaps the story teller wanted you to rage about it and maybe do something to initiate a change in your own life. Most people won't though. There's a fable about a town where all the people can trade their troubles for something else, by putting it on a tree in the morning, and taking a different one at days' end. At the end of the fable, everyone takes their own troubles back again because they are more afraid of something unknown than what they know to expect if they continue.
