Is there even a yuri anime with a male protagonist? Because I'd totally watch that. He would like be going after all these girls but get blown off every time because they don't swing that way and at first he'd be kind of turned on but as the series progresses he just gets more and more frustrated and it would be hilarious.

Yes.

Kannazuki no miko. The guy gets sidelined and yuri end.

Female... If the story is good.

If the story kind of sucks then they resort to pantsu shots.... and forgive me for being a bit of a redneck perv., that isn't too bad either.

I really liked Wandering Son, and that's about transvestites. Also liked Baccano and that didn't have a main character. So...

But honestly, it doesn't matter

I had to go with other.

Because dude, both. It's not that I would like either character to be either gender.

IT'S BECAUSE YOU NEED BOTH GENDERS REPRESENTED IN YOUR GOD DAMN SHOW, IT'S NOT THAT FUCKING HARD!

I would go into detail, but this requries no elaboration. Just think of shows that are awesome, and notice that the more genders the more fun you'll have.

There's no option for both? I personally like either gender as a protagonist. The only difference is the story that carries them.

Sorry, I should have specified that other was meant for those who don't really have a preference as well :p

I don't think specifying the genre really matters, because if you do like a male protagonist more, you probably wont like yuri as much anyway. Those without a preference (other) won't care, and those that like female protagonists better will probably really enjoy yuri show's.

Nah but it really doesn't matter what gender, so long as the character is unique and has purpose

Haha I knew someone would say that

The reason why I prefer males is because, as a male myself, I feel like I can usually connect to and relate better to the feelings of the protagonist. This doesn't mean that an anime with a male in it is better, it just means that its easier for me to get invested in it if the MC or even a prominent side character is a guy.

doesn't matter to me as long as it's done properly.

Or somewhere in between like Ranma. A guy that turns into a girl but is still an asshole. (but we love him/her for it)

Kampfer is right up your alley then if you haven't seen it, it's fairly ecchi based but still an interesting one.

I have no preference, although I wouldn't mind seeing more strong female leads over males.

If the characters are well written and the story has depth I don't really care about the genders of the cast.

I can't recall any series I have seen where the main character is transgender but again, if the story is well written, I doubt I would have a problem with it.

I don't really have a preference, but my favorite shows tend to have female leads, so I guess there's that.

For a good story with a transgender main character, try Hourou Musuko. All of the characters are really great. I highly recommend reading the manga instead of watching the anime (The anime is good, but the manga's storyline is a lot better IMO).

No preference, It depends on how well the story is written!

I like both male and female. But I can be a bit more biased to males if the male in question is really attractive. Then again, if the female protagonist in question is attractive too....

Tough call
