I am... I proud when I don't get an F

I had been making F's in math. And I worked so hard and tried as hard as I could to pass the next test. I studied for several hours a day...
And you know what happened... I got a 65. At my high school that's an F. But a my colleges grading scale. 60-70 is a D. So I actually got a D.

THOW SOME D'S ON IT

I remember my final in one grade of high school was a D. I can't remember much about it, but I think the score in math I graduated with was like a low C.
And we had easy math. We were a private school, and a lot of us were stupid. So we reallty never did math at our grade level. We had like 5th, 7th, and 4th grade math, most of us still sucked at it.
We couldn't remember the algerbraic rules for multiplication and division. The teacher spent a whole semester on that one thing.
We didn't have PE, we had recess. There were people who graduated with out ever having to do algebra. As in.. no math with variables. I didn't learn shit...
We had historically innacurate christian history books. Abeka books. Christian math books are so basic, they're ridiculous. It's all pointless busy work and doesn't help you much. We were pretty much given a seventh grade level mathmetic experiance, We did trignometry one year... but all we did was say the same shit we talked about in Algebra 1, because we didnt' learn shit, and still passed.
We cheated... I cheated a lot.

We had a spanish teacher who dind't speak spanish. She knew she wans't a teacher, so she gave us the answers to the final. We passed

All depends on your standards.

Personally a C is pushing it, but if it was a really difficult class that just flat out destroyed me during the year I would be satisfied with a D I guess.

D's are what I'm proud of in grades and in women. I want a girl with Double D's on her breasts, and double D's on final. Dumb girls are sexy

I like A's, just like my perky breasts.

Like A's and B's. If I get a C I'm okay with it, not terribly thrilled or dejected, although its indicative for concern. When I get a D in something it always feels like I was let off easy.

I have never gotten lower than an A- and that one time I got so pissed at myself I basically lost it . . . I am sure the rest of the class and people around me thought I was crazy

F--- grades. Even though I got mostly A'S and B's up until around the end 10th grade. By that time I was totally over the whole grading system. I think it devalues people and gives false impressions.
Generally people will associate bad grades with a lack of intelligence which (for the most part) isn't true. To me grades just tell me how much you'd rather do work than do something else.

My first two semesters in college i totally screwed up. Went to class, participated, did good okay on tests and still ended up failing almost every class. Not because the classes were hard, but because I didn't do any of the homework. I would raise my hand to answer damn near every question, I would go up in front of the class and speak and all the good stuff, but when it came to doing school work on my own time I just wasn't with it. I had shxt to do, and instead of doing homework i went to go do that shxt lol. If I were graded solely on my performance during class hours I would have passed with flying colors.

Bottom line grades don't tell you how smart you are, just how well you follow orders.

Well I think it depends on the subject for the most part. Was I proud to get a D in music, probably not but I didn't care about music as a subject while I was being forced to study it.

My last grade I got that I feel disappointed with was a B in my GCSE English Language class (still can't spell half the time ), that bothered me because no matter how hard I tried I just didn't seem to improve past B in my English classes .

College however went far better, with all the humanities and languages out the way I was able to load up on the Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Maths and Further Maths for my A levels(A levels are the test you take just prior to university for those of you unfamiliar with British education). Basically I dumped everything I wasn't good at and hyper specialized came away with A's across the board.

I regret the lack of breadth I my education however, I think I would have been more rounded mixing in Classics, Latin or Philosophy as one of my A level picks even if I wouldn't have achieved a similar mark.

I was always told to aim for C's so I got C's for most of my stuff, and a B for English. If there was a subject I was really bad at and I got a D I'd be okay with one, though.
