I don't "accidentally" overreact when watching anime. My reactions are genuine. As a guy I'm not even afraid to admit that I'm a brony. There, I said it. Besides, it takes a man very comfortable with his heterosexuality to be attracted to kawaii/moe characters.

I "lol" and yell "What The F***?!" all the time during anime. But, I'm a single bachelor so not like I'm going to disturb anybody.

I don't think it has to do with being secure in your sexuality

I think of it like this. Some kids grow up in happy environments where they can express themselves. Other kids feel they have to be tough to get around and don't express emotions due to cultural ideals and adaptation towards ones environment

That line was actually based on a quote from a fan-made "otakumentary" called "This is Otakudom"... I was just being silly. XP

I think I laughed a little too hard reading that picture.

This is how I usually look like when I watch anime

Let's just say I can be as over the top as Team Dai-Gurren. And not by accident.

Yeah I laughed a bit too much when I found it as well.

I'm typically in that pose as well. Sitting at my desk, chin on hands. All watery eyed... I watch a lot of romance comedy. I'm not ashamed to admit it...

plus ecchi (same pose)

I was watching The irregular at magic highschool and there was a scene which they were shooting their magic guns at each other and since teh guns made a pew noise I for some reason just started shouting "PEW PEW PEW PEW PEW PEW!"

I normally don't react overtly when I'm watching anime, even if I'm completely alone. I normally keep it all in my head.

However, there was a time when I was watching Angel Beats (I was on a sad/deep anime kick for a while. Just finished Katawa Shoujo so my mind was still messed up from that), and there was a scene where an unexpected character gets launched into the ceiling via chair sabotaged with rockets. It was so absurd and unexpected at that moment that I was laughing out loud longer than was socially acceptable. I had to explain to the other guys in the room (who were watching stuff on their laptops on their bunks) why I lost it, and I was the only one who found it THAT funny.

When a character in an anime does something really stupid, I start swearing out loud.
Totally don't over-react

When watching moe anime, I tend to get a seriously creepy smile and have to pause to let the kawaii flow properly, When watching comedy I tend to laugh awkwardly and very, very loud. And when watching emotional animes, I almost always get over emotional *Cough clannad cough*

I made my family worry once because i yelled at my computer, I was watching episode 6 of fruit of grisaia, and when yumiko pulled the pin on the grenade I was just like "AAAHHHH, NO! NO! STOP! DON'T DO IT, FUCK! HOLY SHIT" my mom came into the room and looked really worried and asked what was wrong and my response was "It was anime mom, you wouldn't understand"

If that counts as an over reaction then I definitely over react

I guess, but I cant help but cry a lot when a good character dies. By that I mean I only get really sad if a good guy dies. I really couldnt care less most of the time when a bad guy dies.

I kinda just did this 2 weeks ago with Plastic Memories when the Black Marketeer shows up at Souta's door trying to con him into giving him Marsha. I found myself swearing at the tv something I never do.
