When I wanna see a romance anime, I put my priority on the strangest ones I can find.. like Mysterious Girlfriend X

I like seeing unorthodox, bizzare and eccentric people who don't fit societies idea of normal, and find each other. That's kind of why I liked Yuri Kuma... I see more to that show than a show about lesbians. It's a show about misunderstood people in general.
My pet monster and Toradora are also about social outcasts finding one another

Don't get me wrong, I like normal stuff too.. but romance between a man and a woman or yuri couple who don't act like normal people is very special to see

I understand what you are saying, but I might phrase it a bit differently:

Personally, I like romances best when they are about interesting and complex people who complement each other in interesting ways. Often times, those people are social outcasts or "weirdos"; you mention several good examples--after all, I think it's easier to portray complex people as somewhat isolated, as a way of marking their differences from everyone else.

But I think that there are exceptions in both directions. On the one hand their are cookie-cutter "outsider" main characters in both shounen harems and shoujo romance manga; outsiders and misfits who aren't especially interesting.

And then there are popular romance leads who are actually fairly complicated people. Kei from SA comes to mind; he's arrogant and emotionless, but he knows that about himself, and doesn't like that about himself... which is exactly why he falls for a girl who can break through his shell, even if he finds her frustrating half the time. He's not an outcast, but he is flawed, and he falls in love with a girl who can help him overcome his flaws.
