"Anime hangover", "PADS", I call it "the post-anime withdrawals" LOL XD

I always seem to experience this withdrawal syndrome after watching any series that I like (and have grown attached to), though the seriousness (or perhaps, intensity) and the duration of my withdrawals varies from anime to anime. Most of the times it only lasts a day or so, but I've experienced this syndrome for as long as a week, and it only 'stopped' because I distracted myself with another series.

Usually when I experience this syndrome, I would either wait and let it go naturally, or I would feel like watching another anime that is 'similar' (such as same genre). Though distracting myself by watching another series will result in a snowball-like reaction of non-stop watching of animes, which I cant do often due to time restraints

Anyway, I am also in the midst of experiencing this hangover/PADS/withdrawals right now LOL. I just finished marathoning "Uchuu Kyoudai"(Space Brothers) which lasts for around a week, which probably might be a reason why I've got it (the hangover) quite bad now. Yeah, marathoning a series will almost always result in me experiencing this syndrome. Another reason would be that I've gotten attached to the storyline and the main characters, it is a 99-episode series after all. Also, this anime was able to emotionally involve me much more than usual, so that's why it's also now emotionally harder for me to part with it. I can tell I've got it worse than usual now because i cant stop thinking about it and I dont feel like watching other animes for now. I tried, but it still didnt mansge to get me out of this post-Space Brothers phase.

So basically, yeah I'm kind of an (emotional) wreck right now because whenever I am in this hangover/PADS/withdrawals phase, I cant really concentrate or focus on other things without having thoughts about the anime/manga that i've just completed.

Oh i forgot to mention, this can happen to me after I completed either an anime or a manga

After watching fullmetal alchemist brotherhood I just felt completely empty and constantly thought about it, plus it was my second anime and the first one I watched while recognizing that it was an anime. There have been a couple other times but nothing like what happened to me after FMA Brotherhood.

I know how you feel, I personally get that way a lot. The way I always get over it is by going back and re-watching anime I haven't watched in a long time that I know I'll enjoy that way the break in between shows is not that long.

I remember after binge watching Cowboy Bebop & Hellsing Ultimate, I took the whole Winter 2015 season off. I had been watching so much anime that I needed a break.
