After watching tons of RomCom/Harem animes, I started to really dislike watching the openings of shows. I felt like I was getting spoilered on who was actually important in the show and how the show would end.
I like being surprised by the little things, or having hope that a side character I like more has the chance of actually being the main heroine.
Most of the RomCom type shows are pretty obvious anyways, and that's ok, but when it comes to more plot developed shows it makes me glad I avoided the opening altogether.

Some examples off the top of my head:
Log Horizon

Yona of the Dawn

Nowadays I wait until around the last episode to watch the OP.

I agree. There's certain series where it's generally better to skip over the credits. But my rule of thumb is if it's the first episode of any given binge watch, I'll watch the opening credits and skip the rest.

Given that I review a lot of anime, I tend to end up skipping over the credits just to plow through the series.

Also, I find that the opening credits can be so tonally different to the themes of the actual show that it can be jarring. Par for the course, I guess.

The worst spoilers I've ever seen in an OP are in the second half OP of Valkyria Chronicles. It spoils a plot twist before it's even been foreshadowed. I really liked that show... but seriously, if you ever watch it, and you don't want spoilers, skip the OP.

The OP for Myself; Yourself was particularly bad in that respect. It features the cast of the show playing in a rock band together and having fun all together... in a show with some pretty serious drama, and in which only one of the cast members ever plays an instrument (a classical violin).

Oh I always have to listen lol.

Whether I just don't look at the tv and play with my cat, or check it out later on youtube. Too many fun songs to jam out to.

I did always watch the Durarara OP too.

If the OP is good, then i won't skip it. The only time i skip the good OP is when i binge watch a show (Maybe after 4-5 episodes). If the OP is bad, then i'l skip it every episode.

I only skip OP's if the song sucks. Otherwise I almost always watch them.

I'll watch the OP through the entire run if the song is good... otherwise, I give it a couple of spins and then ditch it.

I normally watch both OP and ED for every episode.

Only a few shows I skipped that OP and that was because the previous ep had a massive cliffhanger

Meh. I normally just skip the opening because I'm not a fan of Japanese pop

I tend to watch it the first three times. If it has not changed after three episodes, i drop it.

Oddly enough, there are shows that actually use the opening to mislead or trick the person into thinking something else entirely.. Madoka Magica comes to mind.

Spoiling the story in the opening is akin to spoiling a movie during the trailer, its sheer stupidity in the hopes of drumming up more interest for it and hope that giving away the biggest bits won't ruin the experience.

Depends on the opening.
Cowboy Bebop, no way.
If I'm low on bandwidth, I skip.
