Stupid question, but I rarely use my PSVita (only have like 4 games on it), However, there are a couple games coming up for summer that I'd like to get (Lost Dimension, Operation Abyss: New Tokyo Legacy, and Dungeon Travelers 2.). My question is, can you digitally pre-order on the psn?. Aside from major console games like call of duty, etc, i never see it as an option until release day. so yeah.

I would think you could digitally pre-order on PSN if the publisher chooses to sell it that way. Though it's probably be better to wait, buying a game sight unseen is a recipe for sadness given the state games are being released in all cause they patch it later.

at least digital pre ordering is, at least you can go to gamestop and cancel the day before.

Yes you can order pre games form the PSN store they usually let you know when you can. As for refunds if your state or country allows refunds from digital items then you can cancel it and get your money back.

Gonna say NO. Why? because Sony Microsoft and the other game companies (XD) have this contract/agreement with Gamestops ( not sure if it's for other places like bestbuy) but if you ever look at the prices of games on the PSN to the prices of them in stores you'll notice that they don't change like they do in the gameshops regardless of the price you will always find the digital one on the PSN at a higher cost. I originally thought this was for convenience but it's really to prevent people from completely abandoning going to the stores. it's There way of being nice to them because they can't exactly sell consoles on the PSN so they want people to go to the stores also.
Whenever there is a game that you can preorder online physical stores get a punch on the mouth because who's gonna sit on the sidewalk at 12am for a game when they can download it in bed? but the PSN and Xbox store thing know they're hurting the stores.

I've only seen big publishers do that with games, and it's usually only AAA titles. So unless those games you mentioned are by Capcom or Square, I doubt it.

Not in my experience, new games are always cheaper digitally because you don't pay for tax. A $59.99 game at gamestop will cost you $65, while online, it's $59.99 (though it should be much cheaper since you don't get a box and there are no logistics involved).

That may depend on the state. I know I pay a sales tax on purchases from the Microsoft marketplace here in Texas.
