Well X is out tomorrow, and its looking very good.
Sad that the pre-load only is for US.

I can not wait for this game to come out tomorrow!
However I plan to play it on Saturday after work!
It looks very good as well as time consuming, Which is nice that it will last!

Nintendo..I am not buying a Wii or a 3ds to play one game regardless of how interesting it looks. And honestly Nintendo lost me after the 'cube the last time they had a control scheme that made sense.

I also got the special edition. I was surprised to see how many there were at my store, not only the special, but the regular as well.

This game was the deal sealer for me to get a WiiU. I had planned on getting it for Splatoon, the new Star Fox game, and a few others, but it was this game that solely made me decide to get one before Christmas. And I'm loving it!

Picked up my Special Edition Pre-order from Gamestop right after work. I'm just glad that I downloaded the Data Packs the moment they were available rather than trying to download them the same day I got the game. The game install with the data packs took a little over a minute.

Put this one on my Christmas list. I don't mind waiting on it (but still super excited to play it) I probably wouldn't have time to play it till around Christmas anyway with Finals taking up most of my time not to mention I'm still chewing through Fallout 4.

This game is prettty cool. I jumped on the back of an alien sauropod and bounced off, landing hundreds of feet away on my back. And a few hours later I fought an optional boss named LANGUL, THE ALIEN PAYLOAD.

I will say the constant flow of overexpository cutscenes that don't really tell you anything you can't figure out on your own is the biggest drag of the first few hours. These lessen in Chapter 3, but the later part of that chapter adds a super annoying character who's like Teddie from Persona 4 if you removed everything that made Teddie bearable.

I SEE WOT U DID THAR.

I know the one you mean though.... I haven't actually got the game yet, but that particular character seems to be a bit infamous already.

For those who picked up the special edition, be careful with the USB as it apparently has some pesky DRM on it that can jack up your computer:

Yeah, I'm not so pleased with my special edition order now. This is kind of a slap to the face of paying customers, and on top of that, the storage space is only 800 MB, which is virtually nothing these days. I was hoping it'd at least have plenty of space for personal use, but that's apparently not the case here.

I've had a chance to play it for about 3 hours. Currently it feels like a MMORPG for people who hate playing with other people, like exploring and all those little side stories. Story is sparce at the moment and heard it takes a while to get going. I feel like that isn't going to bother me because HOLY #$%^ this game is beautiful. I mean they did this on a WiiU??

Combat seems pretty fun. Pretty much similar to Xenoblade and I like the fact you can easily switch from melee weapons to projectiles easily. I haven't gotten to the point where you pick your class yet.

The character designs aren't as bad as what you've seen in the trailers. In fact I kind of like them with the exception of some characters having creepy eyes (and hell you can always throw a helmet of glasses on them anyway). The character design creator is pretty good. If you want to play as Shulk you can make a Shulk look-a-like (they even have options for Shulk's and Fiorina's voice).

And if you are one of those people who fly into a raeg that there isn't a boob slider in the game, you'll be pleased to know that if you really want to as play former ASU QB and now savior of humanity Brock Dudesweiler you can.

Only con so far is the 1st person thing but in actuality it won't bother me as much. Also in order to use headphones you have to set your Wii U gamepad to off-TV and you lose your giant world map (there is still one the corner of the screen). Its a minor annoyance but one that should be patched.

It's kind of funny because there's no boob slider or 13 year olds in bikinis but we can have bikini bottoms with giant crotch windows and KOS-MOS armor that reveals more than it covers.

I finally hit the point where I can start Chapter 4's story missions. Turns out I needed to do a really simple mission that I could have sworn originally wanted me to go to Noctilum. Instead I just had to swap out a probe. Still gonna hold off on the story missions and do some Affinity Missions and such.

I had a funny moment where this simius kept killing me and I had to beat him for an Affinity Mission. I died fighting him and then five seconds later he went over the cliffside and died, letting me revive and continue with the story.

Also big protip for other players early in the game: You'll wanna pump Mechanical as a field skill until it hits Lvl4. This is flatout the most important skill because without a high Mechanical skill you can't plant certain probes. Once you hit Lvl4 you can get the quest to unlock Lvl5 skill, and then you can concentrate on Archaeological and Biological.
