I found some real interesting prank videos on YouTube, and I had quite the chuckle, (they were harmless, fun ones). These types of pranks are intended to make your day a bit out of the norm, if you witness it or are the one being "pranked" on.

These pranks were completely harmless, but some people just ruin the fun. Some people cannot take a joke, to any certain degree of humor. Why is that? Why can't some people just go with the flow and take a small joke?

Some examples:

Note: Don't add any more stress to your life, as life is too short to begin with. Laugh it out, and just have fun. Don't be so serious all the time, or you'll die by a heart attack or something, sheesh.

Wellll

Certain things need to be taken seriously. School, work, etc. Gotta take your education seriously, and don't squander it. And get a good job, work hard, and make sure you do your best with it. Don't be a slacker!

But, outside that, have some fun. Eat, drink, party, have a hobby. Life is too short to be only focused on work. Be serious when needed and don't when you don't need to.

Yes, yes. Completely understandable. Although, these pranks or acts of happiness only happen briefly. It's just a minute or a few out of a random persons day, y'know? I study for my campus work and such, but if I were to be mysteriously involved in these pranks I would fully take part. It's fun for all, or at least should be. I don't know, maybe it's just me.

Being a responsible, educated person is simply a means of fulfilling humanity's thirst for knowledge and our ambition to become greater. However, we can never forget that we are still children inside, merely with more responsibilities than we had in out youth. We hold the capacity to do great things, but that child-like imagination and fun will guide us to do great things with humanity's talent and not walk the path of cynicism and destruction.

I don't disagree with you, laughter is the best medicine.

I suppose humour is subjective, although it can be easily shared. Circumstances vary, for one. Not everyone experiences the same experiences nor will feel the same way. That, and we have only one life to live.

Some ppl need to not take life so seriously, also though. They might live longer.

Edit: Oh how I could take my own advice.

I never understood people that take such things so seriously. I'm not the most jovial kind of guy, but I'm far from being so grouchy. Where I work a good sense of humor is mandatory, if you're too serious you're going to have a bad time. We're subjected to levels annoying/mind bogglingly stupid stuff at a constant rate, and if you can't learn to laugh about, you get burnt out and bitter. Also, if you get bent out of shape by pranks, you can expect even more to happen. When we took over our current building we found a bunch of flex cuffs (zip ties made to detain people) and the materials to make large amounts of smoke bombs. Pranks ensued...

Some things in life are bad. They can really make you mad. Other things just make you swear and curse.

I take a few things seriously, but try not to let things get to me that much.

"Life's a laugh and death's a joke, it's true.
You'll see it's all a show,
Keep 'em laughing as you go.
Just remember that the last laugh is on you."

I guess how I take some jokes may vary depending on my mood and the situation. Care must also be taken to identify appropriate situations for each joke or prank. It also depends on the person. I'm rather uncomfortable with hyperactive strangers unless I'm with friends and I have alcohol in my system or something. If my friends do things to me for laughs, I'm almost never angry or edgy even if they play rough or drink my alcohol or something. It's possible for me to talk comfortably with strangers, but that largely depends on how they initiate the interaction with me and how they carry on. I tend to be sensitive to slightly-off aspects of interacting with strangers so I'm wary around strangers. Nothing against strangers, it's just that you never know what they are thinking. I've encountered my fair share of ghetto or crazy goons and I don't let down my guard until I'm in a safe place. I won't dwell on things but I keep my guard up when I'm outside and I prioritize safety over laughs.

If I'm cramming for a law exam and rushing to finish a legal research project and you're playing with Siri in the library next to me, I'm probably going to get annoyed ask you to stop. Or I'll get up and move to a quiet corner. If I'm sitting in a cafe and not doing much or sitting in a public library doing leisure reading, I'd probably just smile.

It's fine if people want to dance at the mall. I'd probably just walk past them and be slightly amused. But if some weird stranger starts following me and dancing around and touching me without my permission, I'm going to get a little defensive, at least.

People take life seriously because they think life is serious. They think it is significant.

If you actually take a moment to consider the very worst possibility, you will see how insignificant life is.

You die.
--- You go to an afterlife --- It can't be worse than what we experience while living
--- You cease to exist --- you have no opinion, there is no pain.

Humanity Becomes Extinct
--- Universe goes on

Life is meant to be enjoyed. Actively inviting displeasure is just idiotic.

This is what I love, and can't stop loving
Get wasted at parties, from 9 'till 7 in the morning
I live for the music, rolling blunts, feeling high, getting loaded or take some pills and go to La La Land
Spending all my money on dope and extreme high priced tickets
But in the end it's all worth it
I like to live in my own world
Fuck regular life, fuck a 9 to 5 job
I'm told to enjoy every moment, every hour, every minute
That's what I do on Fridays and Saturday
Why should I take life so seriously?
I just wanna do what I like to do
Being far from reality, cause I can't stand society
This is my own world, I just wanna hear the music

I think the whole system fucking sucks
Everybody's working their fucking ass off during the week
Getting totally fucking stressed out
So what's wrong, and what's right?
I live for the weekend, I live for hard styles, I live for hardstyle baby!

(Que the beat drop)

Well, pranks are sometimes a case of It's only funny when it's happening to someone else. If someone who has been having a crappy day, and then someone jumps up and scares them, of course they would be angry. Or, if you do it to someone like me, who has a bad heart, I would probably swing at you for nearly killing me.

It's things like this.
