The technicality is a bit difficult to explain myself.

I just found this thread and I think what you're doing is cool. There's always a need for support for a lot of us. And it is cool to just get to discuss some things with each other too.

I always thought I was a boy (female genetalia) from as far back as I can remember. But I'm an old fart and we didn't have gender reassignment back then. I made my peace with being a boy-girl, and I am married to great guy (who most who know us refer to as my wife ) so it would be a mess to try and go through it all now. I have a number of trans friends, some of whom have tried really hard to convince me I ought to go on and transition. Recently I ran onto the definition of "neutrois" and really, I think it suits me. I like the idea of a group. We all love anime, but some of us go through some life things that others do not (in my case silly shit like a woman screaming when I went into the womens bathroom) and it's good to be able to talk about it, have some support from like minded people. No more seperatist than say... a thread or group for liberals or pagans or Naruto fans for that matter!

I'm a genetic female and I have had some transgender friends. I'm also a bit of a tomboy and I like guy clothes and gaming. I know from seeing said friends suffer and endure discrimination that it can be a hard ordeal. Whereas there is now a much greater awareness for homophobia and the like, transphobia often still runs rampant in society. I think threads like this are good for raising awareness. for all forms of discrimination, and not to leave the t out of lgbt.

I think some therapy will solve most of this transgender thingy.

That's a childish thought. Let people be what they feel. Forcing through therapy is the obvious answer

I had a Trans neighbor when I lived in Miami and was laughed at for liking her.
My last GF was Trans and we are still great friends. She is one of the smartest people I know.

I am sorry about the haters and people with narrow world views.

The gay community in League of Legends was pretty cool. I'm not gay, but I ended up subbing in on their semi-competitive team a lot since I met them a lot in soloqueue and we got along well.

Not that trans is the same thing, but I'm just saying I'd get along well with a trans community that was cool, too, and I think everyone should.

Usually therapy by itself is not enough to treat gender dysphoria. But may be it is for those without body dysphoria and whose gender identity is not all that different from the one they were assigned. Hmm? But I think it won't be enough for most who are transgender.

I believe therapy is one aid to otherwise ease the transition nowadays. That and hormone therapy. Though I agree that thinking therapy could force someone to otherwise be comfortable with their own gender is childish.

Calling the CR trans "community"

I call it a place for humans to interact.
Other forms of slander, please educate yourself, and if that does not work, leave.
We got plenty of love for all here, just not for ignorance.
