Thought I'd pass along links to the cards being done for the cards being announced. I like how ROH has been slowly releasing news from who was coming to the cards now.

For Night 1 in Philly: http://www.f4wonline.com/more/more-top-stories/104-ring-of-honor/42162-ring-of-honor-announces-five-matches-for-may-12-new-japan-philly-show

For Night 2 in Philly: http://www.f4wonline.com/more/more-top-stories/104-ring-of-honor/42180-updated-ring-of-honor-announces-lineup-for-may-13-new-japan-philly-show

So far from the Philly cards the matches that got me interested:

-Roderick Strong always came off to me as someone who would give some intriguing match ups to the NJPW talent with his mix of submissions and backbreakers. Getting Tanahashi should particularly be fun to see.

-I'm digging the whole Bullet Club/Kingdom set up which harkens back to last year when Adam Cole, who is of the Kingdom, attacked AJ Styles (and Michael Elgin and Okada at the time) during the title match.

-Watanabe's been getting experience up here in Canada like for Smash Wrestling to hopefully take that back to NJPW and get a push for a decent sized heel. Getting Jay Lethal the TV champ should be a nice step up.

-Speaking of Lethal that 4-way on Night 2 looks great! Liger, Nakamura and Mark Briscoe combine some very distinct styles each to a match. 4-way survival I believe means in ROH that it's an elimination match too so this might be getting time.

-Tag teams are very strong in both companies. I like the triople threat being done with the IWGP Heavyweight Tag Champs of the Kingdom, the ROH Tag Champs in the Addiction and the Young Bucks, while reDragon might not be in it but get a very intriguing rare tag of Tanahashi and Liger. Liger was so immensely over in North America even now he just goes in like the legend he is and gets a reaction that matches the younger talent.

-2 dark horse picks for a MOTY candidate could be Naito and Elgin even with the contrasting styles, and either of Strong's matches with Tanahashi or even Kushida.

Looking forward to these shows and will post the Toronto cards links too once they're announced here!

Here are the cards now and the news of the iPPV for Toronto.

The iPPV announcement: http://www.f4wonline.com/more/more-top-stories/104-ring-of-honor/42198-roh-returns-to-ippv-with-global-wars

Night 1 in Toronto on iPPV: http://www.f4wonline.com/more/more-top-stories/104-ring-of-honor/42195-ongoing-ring-of-honor-announces-toronto-global-wars-lineup-for-night-1

Just a few thoughts again:

-It's clear like last year with Cedric Alexander (who gets another shot to face Okada after there were issues last year) that both ROH and NJPW are pushing new talent by giving them key matches on the shows. Watanabe and ACH is a perfect example for both to get over. Naito it feels like he's getting the full on rebranding in a way by getting all sorts of key matches before he goes to Mexico for a bit to train. Michael Elgin and Adam Cole are 2 of a few possible ROH guys they might be screening to enter the expanding G-1 Climax this year. Jay Lethal, Roderick Strong, ACH and Alexander are other possibilities that would fit in nicely. Also keeping an eye on if Watanabe gets a good look after a year in North America, while ROH is giving some time to recent prospects War Machine (Hanson & Rowe), will Ferrera and Dalton Castle (who is a sight to see-think Zoolander meets Las Vegas act as he might give Liger a run for his money on intros).

-Loving seeing Chris Sabin again and he gets fellow Border City Wrestling trainee KUSHIDA. I recall going to BCW, meeting head Scott D'Amore who is now with Jarrett's Global Force Wrestling, and he pointed out to me Sabin debuting that night and I was impressed how good he was even back then that I followed his career a lot. KUSHIDA and him have experience together so this could be a sleeper hit.

-I am adoring the iPPV main event of the ROH All-Stars and The Bullet Club. Something tells me though either the Addiction/Sabin who are a new group that recently unmasked, or the Kingdom, might play a role in that match too. Even CHAOS might if Okada continues his excellent chase of AJ Styles and the IWGP World Heavyweight Title.

-I'm starting to come around on RPG Vice. That Jr. Heavy Tags division is so solid with reDragon, the Young Bucks and likely soon the Addiction too and the Timesplitters if they keep together.

-Second night's main event is just as intriguing with the Bullet Club against Okada and RPG Vice, an unconventional combo but it might work out. I figure again there will be a ton of Okada/AJ interaction, with possibly Elgin or Cole of the Kingdom as noted also involved stemming from last year's shows.

I'm stoked and will try to see all this as much as I can in a busy month!
