How much is too much spent on clothes/shoes/stuff? I have a friend that has several selves dedicated to body sprays, it's ridiculous.....but to be honest I spend a lot on clothes and food.......mainly food...which sucks since it's not a lasting investment. I would much rather spend it on clothes but the temptation is too much

I'd actually rather spend my money on food. My one and only true love at the moment.

I spend even more on cosplay stuff though. lol I'm addicted and it's bad.

I don't see anything wrong with spending money on food OP, I mean... it's food? I spend tons of money on e-liquids for my $200 vaporizer, THAT is wasting of money.

I don't spend much money on clothes... basically ever. But I do spend an awful lot on books and anime figures. Most of my disposable income goes to that stuff, actually. I don't really spend much on food - I buy what I need to make and whatever, but I don't really go out and eat much unless my boyfriend wants to (his job pays him an awful lot more so he refuses to let me treat him when it comes to that sort of thing). Sometimes I buy video games too, but generally only when they've gone way down in price. I don't pre-order them very often unless they're Japan releases that I know I won't find as easily after they come out.

Gwyneth Paltrow recently did this $29 food stamp challenge for a week. She lasted for four days.

I could do it for $11... err... maybe 20.

I used to get food stamps. $11 every month.
I got 8 tuna cans for that.

I don't normally buy clothes or shoes often. When I do, I make sure it's something I REALLY like that will last for years. I probably go shopping for clothing twice a year or so. I prefer quality over quantity so it's not unusual for me to spend $300+ on a coat or something. My shoes are probably around $100 a pair. I have enough outerwear to last me forever at this point, so I only shop for replacement undershirts and socks and stuff now.

In my view, what you put into your body matters more than what you wear. I tend to eat lots of raw food so I need it fresh. I can actually taste the difference between different types of eggs since I've been eating raw eggs for 20 years. I buy brown eggs only for about $5 per dozen. I buy sashimi grade and/or flash frozen fish if I want to make sushi or poke. My fish tends to be around $30 a pound but I don't normally get too much of it since I need to eat it quickly before it degrades. Same goes for beef, but I choose based on marbling and other qualities rather than always sticking to a certain cut. Large roasts are cheap (about $4 a pound) and of reasonably good quality, and are perfect when I want to make a large batch of stew or curry. For chicken, always get thighs. Dark meat chicken is better than white meat and costs less.

There's a pretty good non-fried instant noodle that I get for 60 cents a pack that has no preservatives and doesn't have too much sodium. The rest of my diet at the moment is avocado, baby carrots, and celery sticks. Oh, and I buy Japanese short or medium grain brown/haiga rice. It's about $20 for a 15 pound bag, which really isn't that much. It helps that I only have about 1600 calories a day. I don't eat that much.

I do splurge on a large bottle of sake every other week since I drink two cups per night.

Another reason I have no desire to date. I don't want to be footing the bill for her clothes, shoes and tampons.

i dont spent to much on food since i eat very light for my workouts and on a regular bases , i usually just eat chicken anyways so thats all the meat i tend to eat and also salmon i love sea food to much to ever stop. every 3rd Saturday i will have a cheat day and eat beef.
I buy alot of fruit love it.,and greens. i dont think fresh stuff is expensive i guess since its better for u and well taking care of ur body is what counts. the thing that i do think is expensive is all the pre-work out and protein stuff i over pack my cabinets with and when i do go hang out,i think freakin restaurants are expensive . i dont like eating out for that reason.

i do how ever spend alot when buying online i have tons of shoes and clothes. i tend to reward my self with every pay day i get i have a budget not to spend over $300 so thats my limit range i guess. unless i really want something. but with the left over money its enough to pay my stuff and still have extra left over to save.

I used to spend a bunch of money on religious books and plants...
I donated most of the books to my local church because I had way too many.
