I'll start with two pretty obvious ones: Cowboy Bebop and Fullmetal Alchemist.

I agree on Cowboy Bebop. But FMA? Seriously? I've watched all of Brotherhood both subbed and dubbed and the sub is easily superior. The dub is good, but it's still not nearly as good as the original Japanese. Romi Park as Ed > Vic Mignogna by a landslide.

I could never get over the fact that Ed sounded like a little girl with a slightly masculine voice in Japanese, especially when he was having one of his comedic fits. It never felt right.

DBZ. Goku and Freiza in particular just sound wrong. Kenshin is another, even though every time a child speaks in the dub it makes me cringe. Mostly older shows I find, ones where I saw the dub first.

There are a few exceptions though, most notably Cowboy Bebop. I watched the sub, loved it, heard the dub was better, watched it again in english, loved it more.

I'm surprised at how many here preferred the FMA dub. I watched it dubbed back in the day, but watched Brotherhood subbed and found I preferred it like that. (I can easily watch the dub though, they did a very good job)

Cowboy Bebop, Shaman King, Space Dandy, Trigun, DBZ and Yu-Gi-Oh!

The Kill la Kill dub is also really good but there's a few voices that are just so much better in Japanese.

I don't think its been mentioned yet, so I'll say Hellsing Ultimate. I feel like it makes more sense dubbed in English rather than in Japanese, considering it takes place mostly in Europe, which the English dub acknowledges with the characters various accents.

Hellsing Ultimate: A great all round dub with Crispin Freeman doing a badass sounding Alucard

Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt: for a show about dick jokes and toilet humour the sub really misses some good potential jokes that the dubs picks up on

Hetalia: For a show where all the characters are heavily stereotyped personifications of countries, the stereotyped accents made it funnier

When it comes to Dub or Sub, if I watch Sub first I will stick with it and vice versa.

Dubs I'm sticking to:
Toradora
Deathnote
Space Dandy
The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya
Pokémon

Black Lagoon. Japanese just doesn't work.

Gasarki. I think I'm spelling that right.. Never watched in Japaense ever. The dub is/was one of the best ADV ever put out..

Hellsing.

And Lucky Star the Japanese voices sound wierd for me now! No dub on the OVA really disapationed me I've only watched the OVA once.

Proably a few other can't think of the at the moment.

It most assuredly is, but this one is a toss-up for me, because Yoshiko Sakakibara (Integra) is one of my all-time favorite VAs.

same with kinghts of sidonia, the jump from dub to sub is not bad either.

Hmmm....I usually decide based on the quality of the dub and/or the setting of the series. If it's a fantasy world, then it doesn't matter, but if it's a series that takes place in, say, America....yeah, I'll take the dub.

Let's see...
Fullmetal Alchemist,
Black Butler,
Soul Eater,
Spice and Wolf,
Attack on Titan,
Tiger & Bunny,
Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt,
Hetalia,
Death Parade,
Romeo x Juliet,
Cowboy Bebop,
La Storia Della Arcana Famiglia.

(also, hi, new to posting on the boards owo)

Yu Yu Hakusho
Kenshin
DBZ
Bebop
Love Hina (Surprisingly, I can watch both sub and dub)
Trigun
Baccano
FMA
Monster (Feels stupidly weird watching the anime in Japanese when they're around Europe)

Well, mostly anything from FUNimation, I don't mind. If I watch an anime dubbed first and get 5-7 episodes in, switching to Japanese kills it. There are a few that I didn't list. I don't remember if I watched Black Lagoon dubbed or subbed.

I'm surprised im not the only one who watches dubs. It's nice to be able to admit that without being flamed.
