Do you think our worlds military would hold up against the blood thirsty giants? And lets not forget about the Colossal Titan, he plays a factor too.

Well a cut to the back of the neck takes them down so I'm pretty sure a well aimed shot from a tank or a missile could do the job. Not to mention nukes are always a last resort in the case of such a thing.

So pretty sure that we'd be fine in the end.

Titans are basically like tanks, so with lots of anti-tanks weaponery it will work.

Then for the colossus, lots of anti-bunker missiles.

kek. As if the combined might of Mother Russia and the united states wouldn't completely annihilate them over night.

Tactical air strikes and bombardments via warships would absolutely crush the titans.

The human military in Attack on Titan didn't have such powerful weapons as what we have now. And perhaps I'm remembering incorrectly, but it seemed even their firearms and cannons were at least moderately effective against the average titans.

Titans could probably have been beaten even with WW1-vintage military tech. WW2-era tech would give them a very hard time. By the time you get to Vietnam-era weapons, victory's practically assured. Today? They wouldn't stand a chance. We wouldn't even need nukes. Titans have a weakness in the back of the neck, but who cares when we have multiple weapons which can blow their whole head off and multiple delivery systems for such weapons?

Sure, it might look grim for a short time until we get our collective ass in gear, but they'd pose little threat in the end.

Absolutely, titans wouldn't stand a chance

Planes, long range missiles, drones, etc. could easily target and take out titans

Unfortunately you've asked "how long is a piece of string". It all depends on parameters that you haven't given.

If the Titans faced our entire modern world or even the one of our grandparents it would be no contest.

The entire might of the besieged kingdom was probably regimental or brigade strength at most. During world war II Canada alone produced two divisions of several brigades each. The United States provided something like 50 (further organised into Armies made up of corps which contained divisions) The British Empire had comparable numbers. The Soviets had more casualties from their forces than the allies had troops.

Even with muzzle loaders those kind of numbers could defeat large swarms of Titans. And our grandparents had better than flintlocks front loading cannon. The arsenal of democracy was cranking out tanks faster than any swarm of Titans shown in the movies and ammunition for them even faster. It would have been no contest.

Conversely

Take a squad of the most elite soldiers in the world, overburden them with pyrotechnics and satellite launched weapons. and eventually they would succumb to the giants numbers. Likewise a platoon of state of the art Main Battle Tanks would eventually run out of shells, they only carry about 25 each.

There's a saying:
Amateurs: study tactics
Hobbyists: study strategy
Professionals: study logistics

It's not what kind of guns you have but how many factories you have cranking them out. (and roads getting them to the front line)
