Nope, they're just a part of me. They remind me of worse times, some of them, but I don't let them get to me.

The most memorable I have is the scar on both of my kneecaps.

I was gone the entire summer for the first time, was excited to see my best friend to drop off her presents and talk over coffee. Was wearing platforms (spice girl phase), suddenly spotted some dog doo last minute, side-stepped to avoid it, twisted my ankle and slid down the hill on my knees. I mange to stand up and wobble my way to a pharmacy for some emergency self-care. The wounds were kinda gross and huge that I had to stick two Band-aids next to each other to cover it up. I remember standing in the bus on the way to my friends' place and both knees were dripping blood, neat circle around me since nobody wants to stand next to a bloodied girl in platforms.

*edited. typing with phone and auto-correct was incorrect in multiple counts.

I'm allergic to bug bites and the scars don't go away. They bother me greatly because it makes foot look dark than the rest of my body (I don't like pants)

I have a scar on my face from tripping on a wire which led to slamming my face against the metal corner of the bed. It doesn't really bother me since I could care less what people think of me.

My major scars remind me I am lucky to be alive.

I couldn't give a damn what others think of them or if they want to judge me by them!

I LOVE MY SCARS!

I treat them like trophies and it bothers me when something cool doesn't scar. But yeah, I mean, some of my scars represent some awful moments in my life, but I'm not ashamed of them. The ones on my ankle suck, but what sucks more is that they're fading. I like the visual reminder that there's permanent damage under there. I don't like giving anything up, so the scars remind me that it's okay that I can't do things anymore....but they're fading so I have a harder time coming to terms with not being able to do things.

I'm not ashamed of my scars. They remind me that I was strong enough to get past the tough times.

Mine so. I have a cross scar on my knee, one on my shoulder and one on ym arm all on the right side of my body from a car wreck. Those are impossible to get rid of. I have dozens of straight line scars on my arms from cutting from emotional issues as a teenager. Currently I use skin bleach on the ones on my arm to lighten and make them less noticeable. A girl use too date also was self conscious about a light scar on the side of her forehead that her hair covered that apparently the doctors caused when they gave her mother a cesarean.

I don't mind my scars except for one that I have on my leg. When I was in middle school, I accidentally stabbed myself with a pencil working on a project. Now, every time I pull up my shorts or change, I see this little grey dot on my leg where I poked myself. Every time I think about it, a little twitch creeps down my leg.
