Three Kingdoms' Goal to ending Chaos
Posted 2/4/08 , edited 2/6/08
I'll say Shu because it was the only kingdom who could've ended the rule of the Wei from conquering all of the lands of China if it wasn't for Liu Shan having to force Jiang Wei to retreat because of resource shortages. Unfortunately this kingdom ended the earliest of the three.

But remember this a what-if question only; don't necessarily take any historical facts (Musou mode would explain my point in the game)

nah, from the start it was impossible for Shu and Wu. Wei had talent and land advantage.
wu could not have won because all of it's offensive was lose against the north, the best they did was defend using their navy.

true, but this is a what if question; of course Shu can't stop the chaos when they lost their place anyways, and Wu not a chance despite the Tiger of Jiang Dong's efforts.

Wei won by history, but like i said, the kingdom would be barely crushed if Jiang Wei had gone any further; then again, the Shu Han kingdom would end up struggling for survival.

Shu never had enough force to conquer. They relied mostly on their few brilliant minds and good warriors like their 5 Tiger Generals. You can see that everything kind of fell apart after Zhuge Liang's death. Wu after Sun Ce was never on the offensive, and they may have one or two major battles, but they seem to be defending most of the time. Wei was technically the one who came closest to winning, and even they didn't win. It was the Jin under the rule of the Sima family that actually won.

yeah, this all true. it's not entirely the wei itself that took over, obviously because the sima family took over. and there the later jin dynasty restored order, but not necessarily peace. remember, this is a what if question. if you ever played earlier games DW 2,3, or 4, you'll realize what i mean when you play musou mode. just don't take it as historically true. sorry bout that, i'll edit the description.

That's why the Dynasty Warriors games focus on the earlier part of the three kingdoms time; everything kinda went downhill for all the factions about a hundred years into the "war." Even after the time era of Dynasty Warriors (game), it was more politics then it was killing each other. There was no chance that the war would've ended "early" with one clear winner. But you gotta wonder, who do you think had the best intention for unifying the land? On one hand you have Cao Cao who's all like "It's time to chew some gum and some kick ass, but I'm all out of gum." (Duke Nukem) Then you have Liu Bei with his posse. And Sun Jian/ Sun Ce with his "Brady Bunch" family. And then, just to be funny, you have Lu Bu and Diao Chan as the "odd couple." Seriously though, who had the better point of view or intention for unification?

Yeah, you kinda had a point. But like i said, even the most mere luck impossible to obtain from actual history, this is a what-if question. So I'm gonna have to lock this thread a later on. there's not much point to this, sorry...
I'll make more group threads dealing with the game itself.
