I am thinking about canceling my service because for about a month now crunchyroll is having major issues with Chrome Cast. I use to be able to play any and all episode to completion but now it stops 2-5 mins into any episode. I really like to support crunchyroll but if the service doesn't work then why pay for it? I was wondering if anyone else has had issues with this as well.

Can you /contact our customer service and provide some more detail about your setup, example cases, whether playback works on the device you are casting from, etc.

Same here send tickets in once or twice a week! Now I dont feel alone!

This is my 3rd or 4th email. SO I will send it again. Also I've never got any response....ever.



"Chrome Cast plays for 1minute then crashes or stops playing. When I try to replay it the video length is the same as how long I was able to watch it and it doesn't play. I've rebooted my Chrome Cast and tried it on these devices/OS.

iPhone5s iOS 8.3 Crunchyroll App(deleted it and reinstalled the app as well)

iPhone6+ iOS 8.0Crunchyroll App(deleted it and reinstalled the app as well)

Google Chrome Version 42.0.2311.90 (64-bit) Mac OSX 10.9.5

Chrome Cast Model H2G2-42

I support services that work. That's why I pay for it. IF this doesn't get fixed then I will end my service. And if this does get fixed I except an email with 2 free months of premium service because as a customer I've paid for something that does not work.

I've been having the same issue. When watching episodes with Chromecast, the video consistently stops after about 5 minutes and goes back to Crunchyroll's "Ready to Cast" welcome screen but the device that initiated the cast still acts as if the cast is running.

I use a free account however the issue doesn't seem to be related to the transition between advertisements and featured content. Also, it didn't seem related to limited bandwidth because when I restart the cast, the content begins playing almost immediately. Playback on those devices (watching on device as opposed to casting) works fine.

Here are the devices I've experienced it on:
- Samsung Galaxy S5 running Android 5.0, via Crunchyroll app Version 1.1.2
- Macbook Pro Mid 2012, i5 8GB RAM, OSX 10.10.2 Chrome Version 42.0.2311.90 (64-bit)
- 4th gen iPod Touch (8GB), iOS 6.1.6, with the Crunchyroll App Version 2.31.3

Are there settings on my end or other apps/browser plugins that you know of that may possibly be causing this behavior?

Yes playback works on those devices. Actually playback lags a bit lately as well.

I've been encountering this very same issue. Particularly when trying to watch Gintama. Playback works just fine directly on my phone (HTC One M7), but when I use chromecast, it plays anywhere from a minute and a half to five minutes before returning and to the "ready to cast" screen.

Getting the same problem today. I was watching last night just fine and today while watching SNAFU it kept cutting out. I watched off my tablet and it was working. Chromecast kept getting cut off at about 2-5 minutes.

For about the last week i have had the same problem. The show will play for anywhere between 2 and 15 minutes then both the chromecast and the app will stop. When i try to restart the show thr app will crash.

I am getting the same issue. After 2 minutes, TV will go back to ready to cast screen.

When playing on tablet by itself, it works fine.


Chromecast device model: H2G2-42
Firmware: 27946

Chromecast app version:1.10.2

Tablet model: Asus Transformer Pad TF300T
OS: Android 5.1.1

Crunchyroll app version: 1.1.2
