I kind of see the labels as anti-progressive. You like what you like and you should not let other people dictate who you are. I've known people who have been adamant they are straight then go and get with a member of the same sex. You discover new things about yourself everyday and that is the joy of life is it not?

My opinion is you should never treat your sexuality as an absolute choice. The mere fact people think you "have to be one thing or another" just does not settle right with me. The label should be there to let others know your Current preferences, not your absolute choice.

When I read the title on the main page I thought it said "Biosexuality" and my mind started spinning. Like "wow is that a thing? a new fetish? are there people who are turned on by plants or nature? I guess you could get some pleasure from a pitcher plant or something if you were into that."

Then.....oh wait, nevermind.

I wish the whole world would stop using labels for different types of people. Imagine if we could only view people by what they have done or said. For instance, a college or job offer. The person in charge of accepting you shouldn't know if you're black or white, gay, bi, or straight, man or woman, they should only be able to see how you performed in your past. Never judge someone by what they are, but by what they have done.

Tl;dr gay, bi, or straight is ok. We're all human.

I'm pansexual, which can essentially be the same thing as bisexual, but it's not. Pansexual CAN refer to the whole gender spectrum, or it can simply mean "I don't care what gender you identify as, let's date".

But I've been told numerous times to "pick a side" by both straight AND gay people.

And in the end, sexuality may not matter, because "we're all human" or whatever you people spew. But the constant fear of coming out to someone you just met, and them denying you and your sexuality, is really painful and a bit exhausting. So, it kind of does matter. Sure, you can say to hell with the person, but knowing whether or not someone's going to accept you or not is a really crappy feeling. Because that's just how are society works. A lot of people don't see that "we're all the same". Just from my personal experience.

We're all different. And that's okay. We're all human, but we're all different. Why can't that be okay? It really SHOULDN'T matter, but unfortunately, it does.
