Okay, so here is what I have watched so far, and, for the most part, liked all of these shows. If you could give me any recommendations based off of these, it would be greatly appreciated! :D

Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood
Blue Exorcist
Your Lie In April
Death Note
Blue Spring Ride
Say, "I Love You."
Toradora
Sword Art Online
Red Data Girl
The Future Diary
Kimi ni Todoke: From Me to You
Itazura na Kiss
Attack on Titan <- This is what got me into anime

The world god only knows is a pretty great anime (although there isn't much action until later in the series) . I'm not completely sure without being given a genre but you should DEFINTELY watch fairy tail which has a great dub and is super exciting. some more would include akame ga kill, soul eater, and if you liked death note code geass

Since you liked both Death Note and Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood my highest recommendation is:

Code Geass

It has a very similar intellectual protagonist to Light Yagami who tries to achieve his goals through a power attains early on (similar to how Light finds the Death Note). Code Geass also shares some of the political turmoil themes of corruption, war, and mystery like Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood.

Golden Time: Based on work by same author that wrote ToraDora
Maid-Sama and SA: Special A : Solid shoujo romances from a similar era to Itazaru na Kiss
Myself; Yourself and ef: Tale of Memories : Solid mixtures of drama, comedy, and romance, not unlike Toradora
Clannad : Starts off an excellent school-age romance; by the end of the second season it's turned into so much more.
Kimikiss: Pure Rouge : Overlapping love triangles, not unlike Toradora; it's like 90% as good as ToraDora, but still solid if you like the genre.
Accel World : Based on work by same author that wrote Sword Art Online
A Certain Magical Index : A bit like SAO, but without the MMO element; mixes fantasy and sci fi action along with a bit of romance and a not-overplayed harem.
