I've had a hard time trying to look for some anime similar to...

naruto, bleach, future diary, guilty crown, code geass, soul eater, full metal alchemist, accel world, oregairu, or kill la kill.

i respect other people's preferences but personally i can't stand anime that mainly revolves around panty shots, "accidental" nude encounters, and no actual plot development besides some random background story. I find thats all I've been running into lately. i dont know how many times I've sat through accidental shower encounters and such, its kinda getting annoying.

So would there be any anime that are either a romance that has either some good development and plot to it, AND/OR some feels to it, or some supernatural/sci fi that has some really good plot and story?

If theres something that I'm picky about with supernatural and such, its that it has to have some interesting and unpredictable plot. Typically when i watch shows that have the stereotypical dense semi-submissive protagonist, i prefer it is a comedy, otherwise this is the exact reason why code geass is such a favorite of mine, due to the protagonist never being too predictable, or if he is, doesn't make the show a drag by making too many mistakes.

So basically;

-dont like anime centered around cliche ecchi/harem(sorry if misspelt), i dont know how many times I've sat through accidental shower encounters and such, its kinda annoying.

-don't like dense/submissive-like protagonists UNLESS comedic, and very much so. Unless for comedic purposes, makes the anime seem to drag on and on till he/she does something right.

-prefered genres are romance/supernatural/psychological etc.

-unpredictable plot, good feels to it, preferred if battle scenes were not majority of show. Naruto, bleach, and a few others can pull this off really well though due to such original ideas for abilities and such (mangekyo sharingan).

Clannad is very good, especially the second season. Angel Beats (done by the same folks) seems like it would also be up your ally.

Toradora is an excellent romantic comedy with minimal fan service. If you like it, try Golden Time, ef: Tale of Memories, Myself; Yourself.

Monster is the best psychological anime I've ever seen, though the anime can be hard to find.

Eureka Seven is an excellent action/adventure (mecha) with a solid romance at its core. If you like (or don't mind) mecha, Gargantia of the Verderous Planet is a quite good take on a classic "stranded in a different culture" story.

Trigun is an excellent blend of action (mostly gun-fighting) and comedy--and as it moves along, it finds quite an interesting story as well.

Valkyria Chronicles (about a militia unit in a faux-WWII setting) has excellent character development and just enough action (military combat) to keep it exciting.

Based on what you have said I recommend:

Welcome to the N.H.K

This is a romance/comedy/drama show that explores the Japanese social issue of "hikikomori" which is a person who shuts himself away from society with no intention of entering the workforce. The main character is a college dropout (going on 4 years) living with no job who only leaves his apartment once a week to relax at a park. He encounters a girl who tries to "cure" him of his condition and the plot pans out from there (it doesn't pan out in a predictable way like you may be thinking from that description so don't write it off from that). The show can be very dark at times and deals with suicide, depression, and financial traps young adults can fall prey to. The show definitely gives a positive feeling at the end and really made me think.

Steins; Gate

Its a little more difficult for me to explain this one without really spoiling anything. Basically its the most well executed time travel story I have ever seen with none of the typical plot holes that occur with time travel. The show is primarily a romance so it really fits into your request for a "romance/supernatural/psychological" anime. The main problem people tend to have with this anime is it is very slow to start and the significance of events doesn't really add up until later in the show (it is a time travel show after all) so it may seem boring at first but once things start happening it is insane. I would also recommend to watch this dubbed unless you hate all dubs because there is a lot of internet culture humor in the dub that takes the place of japanese culture humor in the sub that I didn't always get (i'm not japanese after all).

Gurren Lagann - This is an earlier work by the same creative team that did Kill la Kill. A waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay over the top mecha show that can best be summed up in one word. EPIC

I agree with previous recommendations for Gurren Lagann seeing as you liked Kill la Kill though. If all else fails, you could just search Science Fiction and Romance in the genres tab of Shows and look at some user reviews. 9/10 they're fairly solid, I've found quite a few good shows based of them.
