I doubt that such an anime exists. The Japanese are very respectful of their royals.

Yeah, seriously. It's nothing like Great Britton where the royals are constantly lampooned.

It's kind of if there was an anime making fun of Ataturk (of Turkey) or the King of Thailand (Is there?).

I don't agree with censorship, and both satire and parody should be protected, but certain issues can be, or become, quite controversial, when dealt with in such way, if not for everyone then at least for the creators of those works...

Notice how nobody tries to touch the Emperor and Empress.
There's just a bunch of bowing and clapping

A really interesting article on how the Imperial Family will get smaller in future years.

don't think i've seen one. like sometimes they randomly imply that the emperor really does nothing, and just sits behind the blinds being used as a puppet by somebody.

but never seen an anime that satirises the emperor. gintama only satirise the shogun... i think a lot of writers dislike the shogunate... because they always paint the shogun as this evil, merciless figure, it's like, "Hey, you disobeyed me, commit seppuku now.".

I have never seen an anime like that and I don't think such anime exists. As far as I'm aware, there aren't many anime which openly satirize the japanese politics in the first place.

I always wanted to see an anime that satirizes American politics. But that's unlikely to happen.

Not even. Japan isn't even an empire in Gintama since it took an alternative route to history.

Gintama did made fun of one their politician did other day. What I trying to say is that is there going to be anime who do that, is probably going to be Gintama who does it first. I mean they already made fun of one politician. And knowing Gintama they are not going to stop there. CR even have a news article about it.

There's a fine line between mocking politicians and mocking a man once worshipped as a god. It would be like Gintama making a joke about Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
