It would be kinda cool if you like the same character and then they died in an episode and you both just come in the next day with big red puffy eyes from where you had been crying

My English/Science Teacher from my senior year liked anime. She never really talked about it during class, but after class we would discuss it sometimes. I remember me and one of my friends were discussing if Light was justified in what he did and my teacher joined in on the conversation. It was a fun conversation.

There is quite a bit of a 'time gap' between teacher and student, many teachers don't even know what anime is. In the future you may see more. If not become a teacher yourself and be that very teacher.

There is no way I could become a teacher I suck at explaining things

Yea, same here XD

For some reason I immediately thought of GTO Paradise Lost haha. Probably the silliest manga I've read but still addictive for some reason.

But on topic,
That sounds awesome. I always loved when I related to my professors in college. I never had a professor who liked anime or otaku culture, but I did relate heavily to two or three. It was a big change from high school, where I kind of viewed my teachers as the enemy.

It was nice being able to talk to my professors outside of class about topics that meant something to both of us. I think it felt so good because I was able to connect with someone I respected and looked up to, versus the rest of my life which is spent with people I either view as equals or don't really respect at all -_-

Hmm have to be my middle school math teacher that we all call Mr.Scott ( I was in a international school )

He is both anime otaku and gamer. One time he showed us an old anime movie because our class was apparently ahead of schedule.

He even called me a newbie when he saw me playing dota with friends in the library after school. I was feeding hard as spectre and told me to build MoM and Sange/Yasha on her to gank the hell out of lone players. Think it was like back in Dota 6.40 or something like that. He even joined a local tournament dota 1 vs 1 and got second place that time.

Aww talking about this makes me remember those old dota 1 days. Still remembered me thinking agility heros are horrible and should be reworked while intel hero are the best when i started out dota.

That sounds nice Like the feeling that you felt like your sort of equal to your teacher who is supposed to be superior to you is cool

EXACTLY. You know what I mean then :)

I never had a good relationship with my parents (they have some pretty bad issues themselves. Addiction, Obsessive Anxiety, Etc), So being able to relate with an adult I looked up to was a pretty awesome experience. I haven't had it since.
