Honestly? Is the reprehensible part the deviation from your ideals, the presumed apathy of some of the posters, or is it the grammar?

You're taking it too seriously.

I'm under the impression that CR members just say things sicken other people. Not that they really mean what they say.

Freedom is nice but I neither need nor want COMPLETE freedom. I'm willing to give up a few rights for the safety of the community as a whole but it's good to be able to do anything as long as your actions do not infringe upon the rights of others. Oh, and freedom of thought is the most important thing to me. I dislike the idea of punishing people for their thoughts and/or attempting to restrict thoughts unless, in that very specific circumstance, it may very likely lead to an actual, direct, and severe physical consequence.

Some of the things on that list aren't important to me.

Freedom =
The right to love who you want.
The right to privacy.
The right to decent living conditions
Justice
Equality
Respect
And celebrating what makes us different.

The rich are free to do what they wish. they also decide how free the poor are, in my opinion. As George Carlin put it...it's a big club...and I ain't in it.

My freedom's important enough for me to give it all up by joining the United States Marine Corps for the sole purpose of defending that of which I gave up for the citizens of my country.

Well that's how I see it, anyways.

I am willing to give up some of my "freedoms" for safety and security. But corporations and certain industries should be heavily regulated.

That's not a CR thing, that's an internet thing.
You should probably steer clear of gamers in particular. Haha.

Pure freedom is Anarchy. If you want pure freedom, you can kill without getting punished, as that is restricting your freedom to do what you want. Stealing would be the same. The list would go on and on. "To be free is to do what one wants without restriction."

I am willing to give up aspects of my freedom in order to live in a safe society where people are not out to only better themselves, but help others in the process.

If you don't own a "scary rifle" and know how to use it, your freedoms are rather limited.
