Original account name: Xeaous13

When I logged in today it kept saying wrong password and when I tried to log in with my email it said there is no account using that email. I checked and its the email that ive had signed up to crunchy for at least 3 years

I see more accounts hacked here than i have when i used to do online gaming. People must be visiting/downloading some shady sites...

Reverted the email change, changed the password. Please go through the password reset procedure to reclaim your account.

Run a virus scan to make sure it's not a local issue and remove all devices you do not recognize from the devices page under settings.

Reason see below.

It's because many use the same password/email combination across several sites, even shady ones. Premium accounts of sites such as ours are a much sought after commodity on leak and hack boards.

Unless you give false answers (and keep track of those), security questions are just a speed bump, especially if the person is on social media.

A better solution would be at least give the option of second factor authentication (i.e, sending a text message to your phone with a code you have to enter, or using an app like Google or Microsoft Authenticator.

It has also been a while since I changed my CR e-mail, so I can't recall from my own experience, but I get the impression that CR doesn't send a notice to the "old" e-mail when the e-mail address on an account has been changed. If they don't, that should definitely be put in place.
