From what I've seen girls are a PITA when they're in their teens and boys are a PITA when they're younger. My mother says my brother and I were pretty easy going overall though.

If I go by my nephew/nieces.

The boys seem to be more difficult while the girls seem easier. Then again, my mother had issues with my sister and being a female myself, she found me easier to raise.

Both. Children in general can be hard to raise the gender of the kid don't matter.
But I do believe they need to be raised around a parental figure of the same gender. Males & females will experience life differently, so of course it'd be hard for, let's say, a father to teach & tell their daughter how to live & what to expect in life as a female.
So actually, I guess the answer is if the child is the opposite sex as you.

My mom says girls because they are the ones who have given her more headaches. My brothers are always chill...

Girls.

I have two of them, with the oldest in collage and the younger in her teens.

Having a girl is more worrisome than having a boy. I would imagine the parents of a teenager girl would be more worrisome about their daughter than the parents of a teenage boy. If your 15 year old son did not come home that night, it wouldn't be as worrisome as if your 15 year old girl didn't come home that night.

I have a younger sister and had a younger brother. After being forced to watch them when parents were at work over the years. Easily, the girl is the more rebellious one.

Girls. Combine the complexity of their social lives, clothing selection, and ofc, menstruation, I think they're altogether harder to raise lol
