How're you doing? How's your day? Let's talk about how things are going and the everyday stuff associated with parenthood! How are your kids?

Today is my son's 6th birthday, so that'll be fun tonight. Having pizza for dinner with the in-laws over to give him his presents. He's getting a nice handful of DS games for his 2DS! Hopefully he likes Warioware DIY. That's one I'm not sure how he'll handle.

An 11 year old. Cool - I've got a bit of time to prepare for that, right? After my 6 year old I have 3 girls (ages 3, twins at 9 months). I'm in for something when they get bigger!

We're never ready for anything are we? We just can't let our kids know!

I haven't been on CR much lately... my wife and I have gotten into watching some Kdramas and playing an MMO together, and my kids have started Tae Kwon Do classes. They're doing great and love their instructors.

mdmrn, are your kids at all aware of the craziness going on in Baltimore? Did you have to explain anything to them?

Much of my family still lives in the area, so I was streaming WJZ on the computer during the whole thing. It was a challenge expressing my feelings about it to the kids without using swear words.

My kids didn't know much about it. We live outside the city, so we tried to minimize their exposure to the whole thing. Which worked out just fine. They're pretty little, I didn't need to tell them about it.

It is a difficult situation that started off awful with the death of Gray, turned peaceful protest, then turned crazy seemingly overnight. It's a sad state of affairs. It's been better lately, and the people do seem to want to rebuild. But it's going to take some time.

How's everyone going? I'm currently traveling for work. It's hard with the kids - missing them. It's hard on my Mrs, who's home alone with all 4 of them. That said, I'm heading back home on Friday. So, that'll be great!

How's everyone else doing?

POP back atcha! It is nice to have a group full of parents to trade suggestions and info with. I enjoy just having somewhere to exchange friendly chit chat as well. I always welcome conversation and hope that anyone from the group will free to add me if they like

I love your profile picture I haven't seen Fraggle Rock since I was a kid! I loved to watch Fraggle Rock and The Muppet Show. We have a couple collections from The Muppet Show that the kids like to watch sometimes. Nice to see they never get old eh?

Hah! The Fraggles were the best. I have a few episodes on dvd as well. I was compared to Red Fraggle a bit growing up so it seemed appropriate. I love Jim Henson. He has been responsible for some of my very favorites! I am hoping to get to see Labyrinth on the big screen in September.

Oh man, I do love me some Fraggles too. Need to figure out how to get my kids into the Fraggles as...we own all of it on DVD!

This weekend was a busy mess - Saturday: Visit to Sesame Place for opening day; Sunday: My oldest's 7th birthday party. He turns 7 on Wednesday.

And this week is promising to be a blur too. PTA meeting tonight, my son's actual birthday Wednesday. Man...craziness abounds!

Sounds like you'll have another busy week then eh? Hope it won't be too bad and you'll get some time to relax a bit. Always need that! Happy Birthday to your son! Did he have a good party?
