No I expected him to stick to his word

His endorsement was conditional on getting concessions from the Democratic party, and he got them. What's he supposed to do?

Politics AND Lord of the Rings, I love this!

Bernie Sanders has lost all of the respect I once had for him. I don't agree with his ideology, but his passion and determination were admirable. Guess he just wasn't feeling the Bern anymore

Thanks, I feel the same way. I never agreed with him 100% but I felt he was the best candidate to having a government that has a modicum of honesty and integrity, and no matter how many concessions Hillary gave him for his endorsement without those two principles it all just feels like lip service from her to be thrown away at the slightest inconvenience or sold to the highest bidder.

I agree, I also think that is why people are drawn to Trump, though I don't think he holds the same integrity that Sanders did. In the end it will almost certainly be Hillary now, which is scary considering nobody actually know what she stands for as she keeps selling out. The future is sure to be interesting anyhow.

I feel like Sanders just got the last laugh by playing the massive waiting game and with his backing. His policies are all etched into the Democratic Party platform and Hilary. If she does become president and she and most Democrats happens to go back on everything they said and everyone remembers, the Midterm elections might be extremely brutal and could see new blood.

The candidate who claimed he couldn't be bought by the rich, just got bought. The candidate who ran against special interests is now endorsing the candidate who embodies special interests. The candidate who ran against TPP is now endorsing the candidate who helped draft the TPP.

Clinton is everything Sanders claimed to oppose.

No. He really, really didn't.

So he didn't get literally everything absolutely right now in his negotiations. It's almost like he knows he came from a position of relative anonymity against a giant of establishment politics, gained huge notoriety, support, and influence over the course of mere months in a way even his most loyal followers didn't expect, and negotiated for as much as he could, as long as he could while simultaneously building a plan for future political efforts nationwide. It's not like he won nearly half the United States without the aid of a super political action committee and tried to make the most of that leverage or anything. It's not like he plans to press the matter further with sister groups campaigning nationwide in future elections.

Oh, wait. That's exactly what he's planning and doing. When did recognising the political field for what it is and making as much progress as you can make at any given moment while keeping an eye on the future become a demerit? That's the bloody name of the game. At least he's pushing in the right direction as hard as he can.

Clinton is everything Sanders claimed to oppose.

That's the funny thing about Clinton: hold her feet to the fire, put a gun to her head, show her sufficiently frightening poll numbers, and she'll say whatever you want. She'll do whatever you want. A sufficiently coordinated progressive movement could make her dance like a puppet.

Remember how tuition free tertiary education was "pie in the sky" and totally impossible to fund? Where is she now on the subject? Realised she needed those Sanders voters after all, didn't she?
