It takes less effort to forgive, so I normally go with that. Then again, some use it as a replacement for permission, and those assholes gotta pay!

Eventually I had to stop hanging out with a friend who had to be so impressive that he would tell wild lies all the time. The problem was, he would also get himself (and me and other people) into such ridiculous circumstances that if you didn't know the guy you couldn't tell when he was lying or not. Everything sounded like a lie, and even as an old friend, knowing that lots of tall tales could be verified, it was pretty common knowledge that his stories were often exaggerated, and sometimes completely made up.

But I liked the guy, and in a lot of ways I felt like a caretaker, because when I wasn't around he would get into more trouble and be less liked. But we were peers, it's not like I was his big brother or anything. Now he's got a mixed reputation and a lot of people I meet don't want to hear me say "oh, that's just how he is. You don't have to like him, but that's just how he is."

He can be an asshole, and from the sound of things he's paying for it through reputation. So don't worry about those assholes so much, because we're all assholes in one way or another and word gets around.

I think I am too forgiving honestly. I've been betrayed by my GF and friends and I'm still with that girl and still friends with those friends..
IDK :/

I would like to say I'm forgiving! like most people have said here on crunchy roll, but then I would be very dishonest, and i'd be lying to everyone here.

If I make an honest reflection, i'm probably more grudge holding despite being a guy. I guess small things don't matter... I don't think I keep those in mind...

But if it were something like being bullied, then I probably would curse that person until my next life.

Still Love everyone tho! Just being honest~

I try to be a forgiving person, but in all honesty, I'm not by nature. Even if I say I forgive the person, deep down, it's hard to forgive someone who hurts you.

Ditto. I once almost killed a guy because of an intense grudge I held against him.

I probably would've become a terrorist and attacked a whole fucking suburb. It was that bad.

But good on you. I like people who flaunt their flaws.

In the end, I guess the act isn't worth the punishment. Sure, he's a sleazeball and a scumbag, but going to prison for a sleazeball scumbag isn't worth it.

It's good that you've grown out of it.

Don't you sometimes look back at those days and think it was hilarious...

I forgive, but I never forget. I pretend to for the most part, though. I guess it makes people feel better when they think you've forgotten.

Yeah. It was only 7 or 8 years ago but I often wonder what the hell I was thinking.

I work forgiveness on a Case-by-Case basis.

xD Well! We live and we learn, don't we?

It's alright. Let the past remain in the past.

i don't hold many grudges in the first place nor do i have a lot of ppl of people who have wronged me, but i would say for the most part i'm pretty forgiving. there are some ppl i would never like tho because of how they treated me in the past, so like its not even about forgiveness just utter dislike
