In my opinion, the best way to tell is to be in a position where they could easily gyp you, but they don't.

Once I bought a 160 dollars of bud from a friend, but the dealer only had 140... so he gave me my 20 back... now... how can you tell a 140 from a 160 by looking at it? You really can't, especially since amount varies based on grade. And you don't' check anyway. We stoners have a proud system of etiquette.

So he could have taken my 20 no problem, but he didn't, if he did, he'd have easily gotten away with it. And that's the reason I know he can be trusted

Well not that I do this anymore but...

Buy your bud in smaller amounts, it is harder to get ripped off.

And any true stoner knows his amounts..

I do from 20-100, but I can't tell a 160 from a 140 bag

If they keep asking me to trust them, then I know they can't be trusted.

You don't ask for trust, you earn it. If people can give away their trust so easily, it would be worthless.

Doesn't matter, there's nothing I do with them that requires trust anyway.

When they still try to keep in touch even though you're separated by hundreds of miles of land and sea.

I loan them $2 and if I have to ask them for it more than a couple times, I know I'll never see it again and I know better than to trust them.

Works every time.

I wonder when silversongwriter is gonna get a 50 year ban.

I initially trust, until that trust is broken.

Overtime, I've basically learned to be skeptical of everyone's loyalty until they've truly established that they can be a trustworthy individual.

I used to put what felt like my entire life in the hands of people who'd soon abandon me and screw me over, but I have now learned a little better not to easily trust someone with my word, let alone what at one time felt like my sanity.
