As a broke college kid struggling to balance work, school, and attempting to have a social life, I want some honest opinions on why you'd recommend crunchyroll. Thanks in advance!!

If you absolutely can't wait to watch your shows right as they release in your respective region, then no. If you don't shop on their store enough to make use of discounts, then no. If you can deal with ads (I'm aware of the free program out there), then no.

Here are the plans to compare:

Personally I enjoy the perks. Especially since I have little free time on my hands.

Well. if you have Xbox 360 you can watch most of the anime on that without a premium account. Same with PC and phone/tablet over Wi-Fi.

If you pay the $7/month you can binge on stuff like the first Naruto series. So there is that. Manga isn't worth it.(Shitty formatting)

Thats all I got.

I pay for two reasons. One I want to support the creators. 2 Is it worth ? Well I discover several good series thank to Crunchyroll. Those are. http://www.crunchyroll.com/puella-magi-madoka-magica http://www.crunchyroll.com/comics/manga/fort-of-apocalypse/volumes

Since I prefer to watch anime on streaming devices in lieu of a PC it's been pretty worth it for me. I like to just relax in bed or on the couch and watch anime on my Roku or 360 without having to deal with either having to sit in my computer chair for extended periods of time, or lug around a desktop/laptop where I'd then have to hook it up to the TV I want to view things on.

Also it's legal. And even morally a better choice when you consider that pirate sites are making money off your ad views while not financially supporting the industry in the slightest. Of course a moral argument falls on deaf ears on the internet, but still

It's only like 7$/month for a ton of anime, manga, drama. Just skip a few meals if you are tight on money

I think it's worth it! It's not much to pay for all the perks and a great tonne of anime and manga. It's really your own choice though, what you decide :3

considering you can access anime, manga and drama...

I would say it's worth it for someone who has a part-time job or more. but taking into consideration your current situation, I don't think it's worth it? if you're going to have a social life, then maybe save it for that? and like, anime can distract you from schoolwork and stuff.

Anyway, think it over carefully. How much do you actually watch the anime per week etc. I mean, I work, so I can afford to not watch CR for a whole month (even if I'm still subscribed). lol. like $6 is loose change to me. and I'm supporting the industry, so I'm happy with that.

It's worth it if you want to support the industry , but if you don't have the cash then there are other free alternatives for legal streaming like viewster and daisuki... The only downside to them is that Crunchy have a superior library or titles. And CR got a free plan if you don't want to fork up the cash, so you don't have to rely on other services

7 bucks isn't that much in reality, if you don't eat out once or get a couple less things at the grocery store you could probably justify it, or at least thats how i look at it.

If you get a Roku, the ads are actually pretty OK.

They're all from the Ad Council, so it's like "Lock up your guns" "be a Dad" "don't buy Rhino Horn" "Support world literacy" "Only you can prevent forest fires"

I was house-sitting and couldn't sync my account. But the ads were actually nothing to scoff at, unlike tv.

I'll keep paying. You just beg me for a guest pass when you need it.

Hello buddy.
Look at your fansub webpage. Now back to Crunchyroll. Back to your regular fansub stream-site. NOW BACK TO CRUNCHYROLL. Sadly, it isn't Crunchyroll. But if it offered anime with no advertisements and in full HD it could be like Crunchyroll. Look down, back up, where are you? You're in the forums of a company that supports the anime industry. What were you doing in a pirate site then? Back at Crunchyroll. It's a lot of anime series. Look again. There is also manga. Anything is possible when you're a premium member of Crunchyroll and not a pirate.
I'm on a giant neko.
