Hey guys!

At my University there are many frat parties and social events to go to. Like many activities in life (not just limited to frat parties) Alcohol plays a very big role in society today.

-Some drink alcohol just to relax after work.

-Some drink to get f'ed up and party

-Some drink to have a good time at ball games

Whatever the reason may be, drinking (beer, whiskey, vodka etc) is very common, For me however I face a problem with alcohol....

It takes half a bottle of beer to get me throwing up all the contents within 1 hour. Any quantity lower than that I wouldn't throw up.. Instead my metabolism kicks in within 2 hours and I have those head throbbing hangovers that most people have after they sleep and wake up.

I can't drink and nor can my parents...It just simply isn't encoded into my genes.. and if the body rejects it so hard, its not good to pursue it.

I go to parties.. but stay away from alcohol because of those effects that are amplified on me... To see all my friends drinking and having a good time, I'm happy.. but that doesn't change the fact that sometimes I wonder how lonely it is to not drink.

Do you guys drink?

if you don't drink... do you ever feel that its lonely sometimes (not all the time) to know that the people around you drink and that you can't?

You should be happy that you know your limits and avoid getting drunk. Besides, you're still not old enough to drink legally.

I drink. I can handle my liquor well for being such a small person. I prolly get it from my mom since she useto be a hardcore drinker. Though there are nights where I choose not to drink, doesn't get lonely.

I've done my fair share of drinking and not drinking during parties, but honestly as long as you have a personality that isn't shit people won't care whether you drink or not. Plus you get the benefit of seeing and remembering all the stupid shit your friends do.

Opposite.

No beers, I'm here to get something done, not to hang out.

Four beers, hanging out is ok, I can finally say something.

Eight beers, hanging out is great, I can say what I've wanted to say.

Twelve beers, hanging out is stupid, I should have shut up before eight.

I honestly do. I can't stand even the smell of alcohol so I tend to stay away from parties altogether; too smelly and too much peer pressure.

Reminds me of when my family gets together. I think I might be the only one who doesn't become drunk to some level.

QFT. I'm exactly the same. The trouble is, me at ~8 beers doesn't realise that that's the best level... Stupid drunk me always wants more.

I wish people took life more seriously. Going to college and getting wasted all the time
doesn't sound like the parents are getting what they paid for. You might look back when
your older and be glad that you couldn't do it.

Not all funs found in the bottom of a cup.

Honestly I hate the taste of alcohol and I don't mean to sound generic when I say this, but I don't need alcohol in my system in order for me to have a good time. Whenever I do drink it's nowhere near enough to get drunk. I don't honestly think anyone actually needs alcohol to have a good time. Sure it may suck a little from time to time that you can't drink, but honestly you're not missing too much.

I drink, your not missing out on very much to be honest.

I never drink when im with other people however. I tend to stay sober when im at parties since I tend to be too talkative when im drinking.

Drinking really isn't that great lol.

I only drink when social business etiquette recommends it, and then it's only a glass of wine at a nice dinner. I've never cared about drinking alcohol; both because it's a lot more expensive than sweet tea (which I consider superior in taste) and because I don't want to impede my reason or motor functions (though the latter only happens if you drink more than moderately).
